So... you've never heard of Weird Al Yankowic? My Balogna was his breakout hit in '83. The biker guy was the Arnie knock-off from the Russia bit in Episode 1. Also, the 1980s was pretty much the decade of 'feelings are weak, machismo teaching boys that showing any kind of feelings or weakness was bad, so of course Mike wasn't gonna tell El that he was scared of Hopper. Kinda pretty much Billy's problem too. He's always at last trying to fight that urge to kill people... probably not a bad kid, just raised in a shitty environment and in a decade where society literally discourages healthy coping with that sort of shit. I mean, not that that really stopped, but still. His Dad was probably drafted for Vietnam, so probably has issues himself that no-one wants to know about too. Pretty sure Hopper was too based on how comfortable he was with a machine gun in the last season. But anyways... also, loving the new trio of Dustin, Steve and Robin.
