Same reason people die from overexposure to heat on the outside: too much time spent in high temperatures and your body can't regulate it's own temperature anymore, so you get woozy and collapse and die of heat exposure. Internal temperatures in saunas can reach up to 230 degrees Fahrenheit, way hotter than you'll ever encounter outside. I believe the hottest recorded outside temperature was around 128 degrees somewhere in Iran out in the desert, and that kind of temperature is considered extremely dangerous. Dehydration is another factor, of course. And though this is less likely to kill a healthy person, excessive sweating brings down your sodium levels, which are critical for the body to maintain. Low sodium levels will easily put you in the hospital, it's serious stuff. What is the most common factor is when people drink alcohol and then nod off in a sauna alone, then they can suffer every ill effect there is while they snooze, and they may never wake up. There are reasons why saunas are built mostly out of wood; metal parts can and do cause severe burns on people sometimes. If you're sensible, limit your sauna time, and bring water to drink, you should be fine. And the vast majority of people are; there are millions of saunas out there and tens of millions of people use them and only a few hundred die in them each year. Just got to use some common sense.

it was really good in my book. s1 of Got wasn’t that exciting either. they did what they could with decades of plot to get through in one season and with covid and all so many things were limited. i know s2 will really bring it they just had to get through all the exposition

Just a word about saunas, you have to be careful with them. They do some weird things to your body and the difference between a good sweat and a sauna killing you can be only a matter of a few minutes.

hell yeah a episode earlier than expected! love this one and fun fact bc gaten does actually have no collarbones bc of his cleidocranial dysplasia he was actually able to fit in the vents. theres a whole gag reel of it and so they just had to ham it up of him not fitting for the show
