That would be cool but the three eggs that Daenerys hatched in GoT were actually the dragon Dreamfyre's! The story is actually pretty cool, Dreamfyre's original rider Rhaena (first grandchild of Aegon the Conqueror) had a close friend (suspected lover) Elissa Farman who stole three of Dreamfyre's eggs and sold them across the Narrow Sea to merchants when her and Rhaena had a falling out. Those eggs somehow made their way into Dany's hands!

Honestly had Otto not fed that into Alicent, I think those two women and their children would have remained close and I actually think Alicent’s children wouldn’t have had a problem bending the knee to their older sister. (It’s weird to think Rhaenyra is their half sister.. lol)

This mistake in particular I think was genuine because I was in doubt myself when I watched the first time, cause you have to have payed enough atention to the part where she asks him about SOIAF, I missed that the first time around.

This isn't Game of Thrones. This is a prequel run by completely different people with a lot more direct input from the book author. Its characters are more nuanced, its perspective is more egalitarian, its violence and nudity is far less gratuitous, its dialogue will not taper off into sex jokes, it won't be shocking for the sake of shocking or nonsensical for the sake of plot, and its characters will remain consistent.

Daemon is clearly wildly self-centered; this is demonstrated throughout the season. Why people need to complain in the comments that Nat doesn't feel exactly the same way they do about every character is beyond me.

Nat did not outright say Daemon was purely doing it for himself so not sure why you are trying to mischaracterize that so you can have a disagreement, and even if he doesn't care about the crown he still needs the King to be able to make the judgement for Luke to remain heir to Driftmark This is a show where people are going to form differing opinions on characters so if you are looking for someone to be completely inline with you on everything you are probably setting yourself up for some frustration

To be fair, I missed some things while watching when it aired on TV but went on twitter right after or talked about it with my mom while watching. Natalie is watching alone and can’t look anything up without getting spoilers. Even now watching it I’m realizing things I missed the first time around.

You misunderstood the last scene, he thought he was talking to nyra and now alicent thinks he was saying that her son aegon should be king. And once again misunderstood daemon whole character “he’s doing it for himself” when he’s helping up his brother to the throne, lmao no he’s not, idk how many times ppl are gonna have to tell you that he doesn’t care about wearing the crown or not. He helped him because he loves him, jesus

I believe Viserys thought he was speaking with Rhaenyra in those last moments. He was delirious and Alicent was hearing what she wanted to hear.

@Xenic reactions are performances, she must be entertaining, that means being aware of the camera and commenting the content on the fly, while watching, that alone reduces the attention. On top of that, she also has to make sure her equipment is functioning properly, at all times. You can't be 100% focused on 3 things at once, it's just impossible, something has to give.

Yeah, the Valyrian names are all very similar. Similar beginnings and endings. There were a lot of epic moments in AGOT, but this 1 old man struggling towards that ugly Iron chair has gotta rank up there amongst them.

After the opening scene of the next episode (a week later) I had to go back and rewatch this scene to see exactly what was said. It is kind of confusing but I think that's intentional otherwise it wouldn't make sense for Alicent to be confused.

I think you may have misunderstood the last scene! Viserys believes he's talking to Rhaenyra, continuing their conversation when Rhaenyra was in his chambers the previous night asking if he thinks Aegon's dream is true and if he truly believes she is the one supposed to be on the Iron Throne to unite the realm when the North comes. Viserys was saying he believes Rhaenyra is the "Prince who was Promised". Unfortunately there is one too many Aegon's in this world and Alicent thought he was talking about their Son.

Viserys thought he was speaking with Rhaynera at the end of the episode (continuing their conversation from the previous night). He was talking about the prophecy of Aegon the Conqueror and how Rhaynera was supposed to be the one to unite the realm. Alicent misunderstands this to mean their son Aegon.

From my understanding, Viserys thought he was talking to Raenyra at the end, she was the one who asked him about the Song of Ice and Fire earlier and at the end he believed to be talking to her, not Alicent, so he was saying Raenyra is the one and that he believed Aegon's dream.

It is the whole story. The source material also has the time jumps. The periods between the time jumps were inconsequential where largely nothing happened other than children being born. There won’t be anymore time jumps starting in season 2.

Game of thrones was one of my favorites to watch for a long time. HotD not so much. I was excited for it but the giant time jumps kinda ruined it for me. I want the whole story. Not just a quick snapshot of a few key moments in time.
