So when this hit the theaters I BEGGED my parents to take me to see it, it was the FIRST live action movie would of seen at the time. I could barely contain my excitement sitting in the theater, with a stomach packed with butterflies, I waited longingly for the movie to start, each preview and ad drawing it ever so close. It was the worst cinema I have ever experience in my life, I had to force my parents to take me home, so we quietly left the theater from a side door into a back alley, where a stranger would attempt to rob my parents, killing them both in the process. Now I roam the streets at night seeking out injustice and administering it promptly, shrouded only in darkness I have become something more. I become the Batman and this film got my parents killed.

Comedy always brings people together, so my vote for a series would be a sitcom/dramedy, like Community, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place or the darker stuff like Barry. If nothing else they're a quick watch since they're usually half-hour episodes. I assume everyone has seen The Office by now and Always Sunny can make me feel icky sometimes. And if you haven't done the juggernauts of peak TV, like LOST and Breaking Bad, those should be high on a priority list.

The cast looking good means nothing for the actual show, though. I'll wait to see that first. Who knows what they have changed or decided to "adapt"? Current Hollywood has such a bad track record, that my faith in creatives is at an all time low. I'm seriously at the point where I say "You want to create new content for one of my favorite franchises? Well you're going to have to earn me back as a fan first. Something I thought was really weird in this movie that nobody ever comments on is the fact that Firebenders apparently can’t create fire in this adaptation??? The only time you see them firebend they’re moving fire from a pre-existing source, like a torch or a campfire… and it’s probably one of my biggest peeves of the movie 😂

I can't believe you haven't seen The Sixth Sense! Then again it makes sense you haven't as it's technically a horror film. It's my personal favorite of his. I suggested it for natmares this year but I know there's a lot of more modern horror films people want you to react to. The original creators have never been able to make anything close to the quality of ATLA so it seems to me like they plan on milking everything out of their one succesful show. (Also these guys created the world but completely lost the plot seeing as they thought introducing objectively good and evil forces/spirits was a good idea, among other incredibly stupid things) The LA cast looks amazing, especially Iroh

I've already decided that I'm not watching the Netflix series unless I hear good things. Otherwise I'm skipping it. When it comes to the movie coming out in 2025, I do plan on watching that but I'm not going to get my hopes up for it until I see concrete details and art samples. They have been dragging their feet on this franchise for years. And every time they announce new content, it's something like a three-page comic or a little chibi thing, aside from the novels every 3 years and "Look everyone! Here's one piece of art showing our characters as 18-year-olds!". I have hope for the new movie, especially since it's about the adult Gaang, but.... I'm not getting excited until I see firm details.

They actually recently created a whole Avatar Studios because the recent bounce-back in popularity. It is headed by the creators of ATLA and TLOK and they have announced lots of upcoming animated movies. The creators were on board for the live action ATLA Netflix series but soon dropped off of it when they found out they would have a lesser part in the production. The Netflix series is still coming out next year, they finished filming just recently in the summer.

Another one would be Pleasentville starring Resse Witherspoon and Tobey Maguire, I don’t consider it a bad movie so much as a “WTF was that?!?” movie with a good message and a stacked cast but it’s really strange to.
