I first tried to watch this by myself when it originally aired, and recall being horrified by it. A lot's happened since then, so I'm hoping that'll make it more palatable to me. Either way, I'm hoping that watching it with you reacting will offset some of the horror. =D (That oftens works with actual horror movies, so...)

That's a little extreme. Dogs may not be able to understand every situation, but they can tell the difference between when they are being praised or scolded.

I enjoyed it as an experiment in human nature. The Boys on a poll where she mentions she's seen S1 - loses badly. Doesn't mention she's seen S1 - wins easily. Plus I'm kind of surprised how many people forgot she had mentioned seeing S1.

If you watched this episode with her you could already see that she's forgotten a lot of what happened. If she started at S2 she'd probably have been lost on many of the plot points. I'm glad she's rewatching S1 first.

And oddly enough, they are way more restrained than the comic, and it's all for the better. I like the comic, but a lot of shit in there just seems like it's there only for the shock factor, which ultimately waters down actually gruesome moments or crazy character driven story beats.

I'm stoked to be watching the ENTIRE show with her. She enjoyed the first season so it'll be entertaining throughout. May not be NEW for her but it'll be an entertaining watch. If you're just not a fan of the series and you're wanting to rush through it - I guess that I understand. If that's the case though then I'd end the subscription until it's wrapped up then hop on back once fresh content for her is being seen. I'm aok with this - so I'll be watching and having fun while I'm at it. :)

It's hard to believe that you didn't watch seasons 2 and 3, but hey I'm stoked for whenever we get to those. :) This show's such a blast! Happy to have this one going. Nice! I binged seasons 1-3 when s.3 was released, so this will be a cool way to rewatch from the beginning while waiting for s.4 . I remember this first episode just having that moment near the beginning that really sets a tone for the series and making it clear that 'this ain't your regular superhero series'. I could say the same for and recommend a show called 'Invincible', animated series also on Amazon prime
