I like the Red Lotus lore alot and how it kinda ties back to Korra's uncle having been apartof that, Zaheer is a great villian and the story I am enjoying and yea while rebuilding the Airnation is imporant for Tenzen to do the Zaheer stuff is much more interesting but its all been great especially since Anag never got to fully accomplish that goal of seeing his people come back he was a orphan monk

Episodes 8 and 9 are the beginning of the end game to this season. The episodes are just going to get more intense from here on out. In a sense, the latter portion of season 3 is not unlike the latter half of season 2 of ATLA, where everything builds to a climactic finale. Going back to my analysis of the villains (admittedly these are my observations, there are YouTube videos where they do much more thorough analysis of the villains), if Amon is a populist demagogue, and Unalaq is a fundamentalist zealot (or eco-terrorist, if the Spirit World is a metaphor for nature), then Zaheer is most certainly an anarchist.

Season 1: Equality Season 2: Theocracy Season 3: Anarchy One thing about this show that i always found so satisfying, there’s enough in each season to make the themes clear to any audience, child or adult, and keep it interesting (for the most part) Got Zaheer out here sounding straight up like Thanos. You know it’s a good villain when he makes some good points… until he gets to the genocide and chaos part 😅

Zaheer and his crew are so competent that it’s actually scary when they incapacitate and almost kidnap Korra 😭 like you REALLY feel like she’s in danger, helpless, and it’s terrifying dude 😮💨 I can’t WAIT for Halloween on Friday!!! I’m gonna be so unbearable 😭 honestly I was half expecting this movie to come towards the end of spooky season, on Oct 31st, but I’d watch this movie any day of the year so let’s go!! 😂🥳

Honestly, Varrick didn't do much for me until Season 4. He's like a metaphor for every billionaire inventor that's out there right now -- only funnier. But like, I get why people wouldn't like Varrick. It doesn't help that he's very much tied to Season 2, so he's kind of a reminder of how underwhelming that season was.

The implication is that Zaheer was going to be Korra's airbending teacher, to go with Ghazan (earth), Ming Hua (water) and P'Li (fire), that's why he's so versed in airbendering lore and why he picked it up so quickly after Harmonic convergence. Can't wait for your reactions to the next episode ;)
