This movie is just one giant headphone warning.

One of the darkest and gruesome South Korean movies, or movies in general lol that I have watched, is I Saw the Devil (2010). A south Korean intelligence agent seeks vengeance on a serial killer who murdered his pregnant wife. Definitely can fit in the horror genre, that is one movie you will never forget after watching lol

Have y'all seen "All of Us Are Dead?" Obviously now that I know Nat hates zombies I can't recommend it (unless you're gonna do it 😁), but I think it has some of the same vibes while being more episodic.
Kevin Mowery
All Of Us Are Dead is sooo good!
Kevin Mowery
Nat: He's strong! Me: Well, he's Gilgamesh, so ....
Kevin Mowery
Years ago a friend of mine came up with his first rule of the zombie apocalypse, and Train to Busan illustrates it perfectly: First thing, get rid of self-proclaimed "alphas." They're *always* the ones who will lock the door on other people, or shove someone else into the zombies' path, to save themselves.
K.N.
The sequel is awful I'm shocked it's the same writer/director. Not worth anyone's time.
Jacob King
Great reaction. One of the things that makes Train To Busan stand out over others zombie movies is the lack of focus on killing them. A lot of zombie media slips into a “shoot them in the head” power fantasy which is not how it would ever really go down. This movie is purely survival which supports the emotional story and makes it so devastating. All you want is for them to get away. The Netflix series All Of Us Are Dead is probably the best zombie thing to come out since Train To Busan. It plays on similar emotions except it’s set in a high school so it has a whole extra layer of angst on top.

This movie is great because it not only does horror well, but its also story driven and has well written characters. Listen, aaall I'm gonna say is that 28 Days Later is also in the same vein lol.
Robert Barnard
Natalie. Congratulations on getting through the movie. Did have a feeling you would be both screaming and crying a lot. Keep up the great work. Take care.
Michael Ford III
Nat, another little tidbit that you might not have noticed is that the same actor who played "Daddy," Don Lee/Ma Dong-seok, was in ETERNALS.
Malak☆ملاك
Now I really wanna see you play tlou
Capt. Scott
The prequel is an animated film called "Seoul Station" I've heard it's decent but I haven't watched it. I've watched the sequel and it's not worth it
Michael G. Munz
It has to win the poll 3 times ;)
Michael G. Munz
There's a PREQUEL?? I'd heard the sequel wasn't great, but didn't know there was a prequel at all.
Daniel McGuinness
Natalie, amidst sobs: “I’m glad it had a happy ending!”
Daniel McGuinness
LMAOO, a great reaction to a great movie 😂 we actually picked secret option number 3) screaming AND crying Natalie! Another thing I love about this movie is how it shows the value of every life saved. Saving the baseball kid who then helped get through the train cars, scarf daddy saving absolutely everybody in the most heroic way possible, even the homeless man who seemed almost useless the whole time made the ultimate sacrifice to save 2 (3?) people 😭 it also shows how easily stupidity and selfishness ends up fucking it up for everybody! The horror is actually how people treat each other… and zombies.

Next year let's do Beetlejuice!

TBH I've been a golden nugget at a few different times, and a youtube watcher a long time, but I've only recently gotten into natmares, I didn't know you were so emotionally violated by zombies, I might not have voted for it to spare you lol, but I've been wanting to see this and wanted to watch a reaction when I finally did, so I was hoping one of my favorite creators would do a reaction to it so I got excited when I saw it pop up on a poll. happy it happened, sorry it happened, but now you can claim you got your zombie movie in and refuse others, (sorry for others that have zombie movies you want her to see). hahaha.

"I. LOVE. ZOMBIE MOVIES." -Natalie Gold, basically
Steven Hok
Always enjoy rewatching Train to Busan. And loved your reaction Nat! The ending always wrecks me too lol
Mastervodo
Y'all correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like in Natalie's outtro she's saying that Train to Busan is her FAVORITE Zombie movie ever! Quite an achievement.
Daniel McGuinness
A masterpiece honestly, better with every watch 😭 Minor spoilers When Seok-woo gets the call from his underling telling them that their company is responsible for what’s happening, and he comforts his crying assistant before literally trying to wash the blood off of his hands 😩 CINEMA! Also the best character development 😭 He’s also the Red/Blue square game guy from Squid Game!
Josh R
my personal favourite moment from the reaction when the couple died 'what the fuck!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' the volume increase scared me hahahaha
Josh R
1000% Nat is not putting it in a poll 🤣
Mastervodo
Will it ever, ever EVER make it to a poll though!
Mastervodo
I wanna see her watch/sing Depp's Sweeney Todd!
matthew h
Even though I've seen this movie a few times I still enjoy re-watching it. Nat's reaction was great, especially going into it cold. I hope 28 Days Later stays on the list for next year. To me, its in the same category as this movie.
Josh R
28 days later and then the sequel 28 weeks later and both fantastic movies like not just horror. Movies as a whole. Both movies and definitely 28 weeks later would make Natalie emotional XDDD
djKENTO
the reason you might have had two layers of “closed captions” is that subtitles and closed captions are not technically the same thing. Subtitles are to translate something not in your language. Closed Captions are for the deaf and hard of hearing which is why they often include notifications of sounds like phones ringing, things the audience can’t see happening visually but are impactful to the story. Looking forward to this.
Baggie Mark
Everyone send Nat and big HUG!!!, she really needs it after this film.. 🤗🤗
devin flynn
OH BOY ZAMBIES MY FAVORITE!!!!! we will settle for another zombie movie in 52 weeks and yeah I TRIED TO WARN YOU ON THE POLL LOL.
Michael Ford III
Has anyone seen the prequel and sequel? I really enjoyed this movie, but never got into the other two, and I'm wondering if they're worth recommending to Nat.
Chantsy93
And the baseball player was the main guy in Parasite
Jeff K
Doesn't surprise me - I believe he's uncredited in Squid Game
Natalie Gold
bahhaa I even looked up the cast ahead of time to see if any were in Squid Game and somehow I missed that STILL!
Soloydiver
The funny thing is, I didn't enjoy the movie when I first watched it. It wasn't until I saw reactors watching the movie that I really appreciated the movie. I am the same way, there is never a dry eye at the end.
Jeff K
Hell, I've just started it, and I forgot how heartbreaking the opening is with the dad/daughter too. I'm already getting choked up.
Ron H
still can’t watch this one w/o breaking down into a puddle at the end
Essero Eson
Hehe, Natalie Gold, the musical.
vlocke67
poor nat and her zombies ... also keep singing lol
Jeff K
Also, sorry for continuing to post so damn much already but... some of the physicality of the actors in this movie, when they get turned, is INCREDIBLE. Maybe the best I've ever seen in a zombie movie. They're behaving like actual reanimated corpses, rather than just shambling around. And the young actress who plays the daughter is so damn good.
Jeff K
It's a great movie for reactions for those exact reasons. I don't love seeing people suffer or being made uncomfortable, but I also struggle to rewatch movies like this one specifically because holy shit, they just destroy me. The end of this movie is CRUSHING. I think I struggle to rewatch this one, in particular, because I have a young son so it hits way, way, way too close to home and makes me think, "What would I do/be able to do?"
Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez
Usually people like to see others "suffer" and being in pain(but in a good way), which is why many kept recommending it
Jeff K
Ah! I must have missed those, somehow. Now I'll have to watch this reaction waiting to see if she recognizes him...
Danishprince
She has - It's on the channel :)
Wu Sha Ling
Aside from the dad/daughter plot, it really has some cutting criticisms on neolib policies. subtly woven in. Altho the businessman antagonist is a hamfisted representation of it. Great film on several layers.
Jeff K
Also, has Nat watched Squid Game? Wondering if she'll recognize the lead actor in this movie from that show. (He was only in it briefly at the beginning and end as a cameo, so even if she has, I wouldn't blame her for not recognizing him. Nat, if you read this, he was the recruiter at the train station in Squid Game.)
Darryl Low
Happy Natmare Feature Friday Nat. This is a movie I haven't seen but I know the basic premise, so given your love of the subject matter, I'm dying to watch your reaction. I did pick the comedy last week to try and save you, but at this point the damage is done, and I'm just going with the flow 😬😄 See zombie movies aren't so bad Nat. Next stop, Dawn of the Dead 😄 Damn, this was a great movie. So much drama. After Squid Game and Parasite, I shouldn't have expected anything less. Would love to see you watch more Korean movies and shows. They are just so good. Great characters and great performances, especially "Daddy" Noooo! Thanks for such a great reaction today, and thanks for your awesome work this week as always. Have a brilliant weekend Nat 💛
Troymk1
I’ve seen this once. Was pretty cool!
Adam McCabe
Love this film! Can’t wait to watch
Jeff K
Ooooooh no. Poor Nat's tear ducts when she watches the end of this movie.
Danishprince
What a great night this is!
