This is unrelated (sorry) but was curious if you'll watch The Boys spinoff 'Gen V' Natalie? Would be fun but there's also lots in the pipeline so maybe we'll see later down the line!
José R. Colón
Heh ever seen Hardcore Henry? Your reactions to that one would be epic.
Quick
Agreed, 100%. I grew up watching the originals. They were great for a sick day; home from school. But the new trilogy is what truly made me fall in love with the franchise.
MrDeltoric
These are a lot of great options its honestly hard to pick.
Spencer Wichmann
One day we'll get to go through the Planet of the Apes movies...
Powers209
Starship Troopers the book? Will this read-along be in an ASMR style of reading?
Rogier Oude Heuvel
Agreed, Think it would be a great series for Nat to react to!
Chris Henderson
Ik the next show she's going to watch after Korra! It's either Peaky Blinders or Invincible.
Razor Bikini
I think you’d be better off just watching the new trilogy of Apes movies first, they’re more likely to get voted for I think, plus they’re genuinely great. Shame that Nope isn’t gonna win this poll since it’s probably not gonna appear in many more, but I consider it Peele’s best film so far. Prey is really good, very solid thriller, but Nope is on a whole other level.
Sean
Prey was surprisingly awesome!
Jeff Clark
Hope Starship Troopers makes it onto another poll, such a great movie. Prey is also fantastic though.
Peter Baker
Starship Troopers is easily one of my all time favourite movies, although it certainly didn't come out in '71 😅
Tentomushi
I recently watched them for the first time and enjoyed them a lot (except for the 2nd one)
jamie jones
No they didnt film it twice. Its a dub that doesnt match what their mouths are doing. I wish they filmed it in comanche, that wouldve been cool.
HeyItsSuper
All great picks, hope we can get around to each one of them, although you might wanna switch out Starship Troopers (1971) with the 1997 movie 😂
Miki
Sure, 1971's Starship Trooper by Yes is a great song, but can you really do a full reaction to it?
Riolkin
I second this. Season 3 is coming out in January as well, right? Be a good time to get on the train.
Yoda I am
The legend of Vox Machina is great, you would enjoy.
Bobby Kraus
Seen it on polls a few times but we gotta get Andor started finally
Tiger Chu
Top Gun
MJ Eid
Pretty sure I heard they filmed it twice
Logan Kerlee
It's a dub over the spoken english.
Darryl Low
Exactly. Nat wants to watch the original first, and then I'm sure she will watch the new versions once she has 🐵
Logan Kerlee
Agreed! Has my vote.
Gumball watterson
is the Comanche version a separate movie or is it something you can put on through Settings
Rog
Didn't watch any of these except for nope which I thought was very strange and not in a good way. I think the best way to change gears from Natmares is to go hard on comedy. Some of my favs would be Black Sheep, Old School, Back to School, maybe Me Myself and Irene, and a personal choice of The Golden Child which might be my favorite Eddie Murphy believe it or not.......All think would make great reaction videos.... Btw can't find a 1971 Starship Troopers if it's the 1997 version I did see that and it's a good movie kinda on the natmare side tho lol.
Tesh
oof, all of these are great, but this is the first time ive have 3 of my "would pick instantly if in a poll" in the same poll lol, Nope Prey and Starship Troopers are all 3 high up in movies i love lol
Jacob King
YES
Jacob King
It was meant to be seen in Comanche but when Disney bought Fox they made it English. Very easy to switch the language back.
Jacob King
Voted for Nope but I'll be very happy if Prey wins. Also the Comanche dub of Prey is better than the English version in terms of immersion in the story and some plot/storytelling stuff (and it's not like everyone doesn't already watch everything with subtitles regardless of language.)
Kev Martin
There was a time that the 60s Planet Of The Apes felt like essential classic Sci-Fi viewing (and I'm old enough to vaguely remember it too). But nowadays it just feels ultra-dated with nostalgia being its main redeeming feature. It might well come across as a 'bad movie' watch to anyone that doesn't share in that nostalgia. Plus it features Charlton 'cold dead hands' Heston which alone is sufficient reason to avoid something.
Skizane
Starship Troopers is an intelligent satirical film masquerading as a dumb action movie. It's just great, and is highly rewatchable, lots of fun. I hope it wins the poll.
PrayTellCaesar
Lotta good choices. Id be happy to watch any of these with you
Rey
1971 starship troopers...? But love these movies , prey is amazing but god damn it if im forever rooting for these apes to win
José R. Colón
Waiting for a Godzilla poll one day...hint, hint...🤣🖖🙏👍
Ernesto
I would like some sports movies. I'm not a sports guy but I would like for Nat to react to some. Examples come to mind is Field of Dreams, Replacements, and Draft Day.
Dillon Sylvester
I need to see you watch Donnie Darko or Nope. If either of those two don't win I will be sad
Logan Kerlee
Voting for Starship Troopers. I feel that Prey was disappointing. It's a fun action movie, sure.. but as far as a Predator film goes I'll pass on that. The others that are available are also fantastic watches though! I would LOVE to watch (1968) Planet of the Apes or Donnie Darko!
Chris Henderson
Can we get continuation of the Rocky series I just need her Rocky II and III reaction.
Harper
Nope is amazing!
Berry
Starship Troopers is awesome, it works as both a satire and a proper action movie. All movies in this poll are worthwhile but ST is a personal favorite. I also like the newer Planet of the Apes movies.
Gabriel Burns
The song "Starship Trooper" came out in 1971. The movie is from 1997.
Dwight Everhart
I just saw Donnie Darko for the first time. It's very interesting and thought provoking.
Lawson
Prey or Nope!
Colby Sanders
They released a Comanche version as well
Darryl Low
Hopefully Nat will just make an executive decision to watch it one day 🐵🤞
ISeeTrees ofGreen
Honestly split between SS and darko both are cult classics
Byron
Prey is a good choice. Solid
jamie jones
The 68 version wont
Riolkin
SERVICE GUARANTEES CITIZENSHIP
TokyoLopez
have you seen the newer planet of the apes? because those are good too, i’d watch those over the original
Josh R
Prey is really fun!
SmokeAndACoffee
I voted Planet of the Apes... i'm tryin, Nat! lol xD
Ian
Shocked that Nope is doing so poorly, it's easily the best film on the list. Maybe besides Donnie Darko
Narith
STARSHIP TROOPERS!! definitely became one my favorites. Great movie
jason carney
1971? There's a song, Starship Trooper, from 1971 YES album...
Joe Mallard
Andy Serkis Apes Trilogy!
History Nuggets
Prey was sooooo good.
Ridley
why planet of the apes 1968? And not the newer version?
Chris H
Might want to consider Quantummania too at some point as it kind of tie ins to Loki which has a season 2 going. I know some people really don't like it but I'm pretty sure people disliked Love and Thunder more and you seemed to enjoy that Nat!
Chris H
They have endless supply of ideas now: predator vs samurai, predator vs medieval knight, predator vs velocerapter!
jamie jones
If it was actually filmed that way yes. But its just dubbed over and dubbed movies look stupid.
jamie jones
Nah skip the original. Not necessary or required for the reboot trilogy
Chris H
One of the best movie trilogies ever!
jamie jones
Wouldve voted for rise of the planet of the apes. And that whole trilogy. Not the 1968 version
Josh B
Prey is fun, but it has some of the most poorly written dialogue for a "period" movie. Early 18th century Comanche speaking "modern" English
Danishprince
I do enjoy the newer trilogy the most but it's always nice to see the first in a franchise to get an idea of how it originated
Jim Finley
As a boy, Paul Verhoeven lived in Holland when it was occupied by the Nazis. That was his inspiration.
AngelAlCapone
I personally don't really care for the older apes movies but I would love if she watched the newer trilogy especially since the 4th movie is coming out next year
Ian
For sure one day it will win a poll or nat will just make an executive decision 🤞
Mike Hell
And I just saw that the trailer for the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is dropping tomorrow, so Nat should definitely add the Rise/Dawn/War trilogy to her lineup in the next year :)
James Amaral
It's like a Fascist earnestly made a propaganda film without realizing that the things they glorify are horrifying to normal folks. Which is why it's so brilliant!
Darryl Low
I think Nat will watch the remakes as well, but she has said many times that she wants to check out the original movie first, and I really want to see what she makes of it 🐵
Darryl Low
ha ha no worries buddy. We'll get to those apes one day 🤞🙈🙉🙊🐵
Jeff K
Yep. Which is why, at least in part, it was initially pretty widely dismissed as just being a dumb action sci-fi movie. It feels like it's only been over the last 10 or so years that people have started reflecting and realizing just how bitingly satirical it actually is. (RoboCop had some of the same issues of people just thinking it was a big, dumb, over the top, violent action movie but that one, as well, is SUPER satirical. Apparently Paul Verhoeven just does satire so well that even when he goes BIG, it's still too subtle for wide audiences, it would seem.)
Ian
Happy Wednesday nat I finally made a stream for a change and really enjoyed it so cheers for that 👌 .Planet of the apes or prey for me however voted for prey sorry Darryl but tbh can't go wrong with any of these
adrianR31
Christ these are all good
Jeff K
“Terrible googling accident” sounds like something you’d see in an Onion headline
fable
If you do Prey (and don't mind subs), I highly recommend watching it in the Comanche version :)
Kyle Fletcher
Prey put Predator back on the map! I'd love to see a Prey series with a Predator hunting throughout different time periods. Also respect to the studio for adding in dubs of the native language as an option.
Ulrich Unterbrunner
Starship Troopers is from 1997. That got me really confused into thinking "was there another one way before that?"
Daniel McGuinness
I won’t be mad if Prey wins, great movie! But I have to vote for Nope, really blew my expectations away, that movie has such a strong message about spectacle and consumerism you’ll be thinking about it for days!
Erik Stevenson
Oh wow, great poll, I went with Starship Troopers just because I think it's a particularly good movie for reactions, but honestly all of these are great and deserve a watch at some point.
John Piazza
If Donnie Darko doesn’t win I will revolt
James Amaral
If you ever do watch Starship Troopers (1997), it's helpful to know ahead of time that it is a *satire.* It plays things mostly straight for dramatic effect, but pay attention to the subtext.
Troy
Prey all the way, fantastic movie!
Danishprince
Maybe one day these damn dirty apes will win a poll xD
Endling_king
Starship troopers is a great movie!
David Crabtree
Starship Troopers is 1997. Great film!
Ranger Maverick
Starship Trooper from 1971 is the song by Yes. The movie is Starship Troopers from 1997.
Jeff K
Some really strong choices, but really hoping for Prey. It was such an unexpected and pleasant surprise, and I'd say it's easily the second best in the Predator franchise. (Although Predators, the one with Adrien Brody and Topher Grace and a pretty solid cast in general, is underrated IMO.)
If it was the apes reboot I would have gone for that I found the original a bit boring , I didn’t really think nope was any good either so I’m going for Prey
Michael Bergeron
I think everyone might be missing that maybe she wants to start with the original Planet of the Apes before the new movies. You aren’t really spoiling the new movies watching the original first. They kinda feed into each other. I agree she should watch new ones, but I’m still voting for and would love for her to watch original first too
JayF
And of course the one classic movie that almost nobody has reacted to is dead last. Sigh. Natalie, watch the original Planet of the Apes as a personal pic at some point. It's very good. Edit - reading some of the above comments I see a lot of suggestions for the newer Planet of the Apes trilogy. I will agree that they are very good and deserve a viewing. It would be nice to see a reaction to the original though.
Jari
I voted for Nope but please consider the latest planet of the apes trilogy in future polls
Kristopher Feldbusch
Only "Starship Troopers" I'm aware of that dropped in 1971 is the song "Starship Troopers" by Yes, so I assume she meant the movie and there was a terrible googling accident.
Tony Mandler
These are good movies I voted for Prey. But does Natalie ever want to watch funny simple movies not just intense scary movies.
Cody Steele
Starship Troopers 1971?
Taff Lewis
Agree with all the 2011 Apes suggestions, All listed seem like they would provide a good reaction.
Andy
Planet of the Apes 2011 rebooted trilogy please 🙏 They are fantastic and vastly underrated. Andy Serkis kills it in those movies
Darryl Low
Happy Wednesday Nat. Going to vote for those apes again 🐵 Really enjoyed your spooky livestream yesterday. Hope you had a fun halloween evening 💛
Aaron Davies
Difficult choice between starship trailers and prey , both great films . I’d love a the descent reaction though
Jason Gillman
I’m voting for Starship Troopers but I’m totally fine if Prey wins honestly
Tijmen ter Beek
I would love to see the Planet of the Apes, but everything after 2011 ;)
BettleBug
Prey is literally one of my all time favorite movies!!
Manuel Torres
NOPE is such a cool movie concept, PREY will win but you should really watch nope
Sean Obrock
The Yes Album that had the song Starship Trooper came out in '71...
Juan Colorado
I wish it was rise of the planet of the apes (2011) instead of the 1968
K.N.
I think there's only one Starship Troopers film. I think Natalie just has the year wrong.
Mike Hell
I think she just got the date wrong
Sean Obrock
That threw me off as well. :)
Patrick Egan
Definitely Prey. It was one of the best movies of 2022, easily the best Predator sequel, and you could even make a defensible argument that it’s better than the original Predator.
Giancarlo Ubaldino
What's Starship Troopers 1971? If you mean the 1997 movie, then I'm all in.
FateMalone
Planet of apes 1968? Should be 2011
The Dingo
Planet of the Apes is a classic, and is something everyone should watch!
Jason Gillman
Does she just have the date wrong for Starship Troopers or is there a 70’s version I’ve never heard of?
K.N.
Prey might actually be my favorite Predator film.
Terra_Omega_3
Either Starship troopers or promise you’ll watch the Planet of the Apes Prequel Trilogy if you watch the OG 80s movie. Please! 😬
Andrew Benson
Starship Troopers 1971?
Mike Hell
WOW these are all great (besides Apes, which you should replace with the 2011 remake Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which is better than the originals, IMO) but I went with NOPE because I was surprised how good it was, and I want 1 last Natmares film ;)
Jamie A-H
please…. don’t you think planet of the apes has suffered enough of these polls 😭
Modders
Have you watched the boondock saints movies yet?
FatLittleButterfly
nonononononononno Starship Trooper have to win this one
Eric Wallace
This was tough
Boomcity
Prey Prey Prey Prey Prey Prey!
