TRUTH! It's a fun action movie that has some freaky elements thrown in. :) lmao, I remember being so scared of it when I first watched the movie all those years ago. xD Wasn't in theaters but I was a youngster. Think I was 10 or 11 at the time.

I voted for Rise and I think it is a great film, but I will echo that Apollo 13 is a must-see at some point. It’s on another level along with The Right Stuff as a master depiction of the heroism and grit of our astronauts against all odds. Just watch it sometime.

I don't think the comments pointing out the miss-labeled classification of Apollo 13 mean any harm whatsoever. But do they help? If Natalie is guilty of anything it is giving us WAY. WAY too much say in how she runs the Channel. Because of her well-earned success, what we vote up becomes a huge part of how she lives her life, and it is obvious how deeply she gets into these films and series. I would like to encourage her to include anything she feels like including. Whether Blockbuster Video would have put the same colour round 🟡 sticker on it or not.

Hi Natalie - it isn't currently winning the poll, but I would really encourage you to choose Apollo 13 sometime on your own volition. It is a masterclass film, my favorite from the 90's and probably Ron Howard's best directorial effort. The fact that it is such a faithful recreation and retelling of one of our greatest failures and the collective effort to save three men... it's a beautiful story with a beautiful soundtrack and perfect casting. Bummed to see such little love for Donnie Darko. I think that's such a great movie. But then, I think 2001 might have been the best year ever for movies. My pick for the best film I've ever seen was released that year (Mulholland Dr.), and so were several other excellent movies. My 10th or 12th-favorite movie of 2001 would probably be in my top 2 or 3 of many other years...

Like others have said about Starship Troopers, it was intentionally done a bit campy and over the top. But it is an enjoyable watch. Fun fact that I just read about last week, the director took off his clothes (to be naked) in order for the cast to do the shower scene.

You should definitely watch Apollo 13 at some point, though it’s not really sci-fi; it’s got a lot of science but it’s also, of course, historical fiction that’s one of the more accurate of its genre (with some obvious Hollywood liberties to heighten the drama).

I never understood the love for the planet of the apes movies. They are alright, but I don't remember any of them other that the orginal. Certainly never wanted to watch them again. But, if everyone is for it, I'll watch it again. Maybe through Nats eyes I'll have a different opinion.
