Help me pick a holiday flick!
🕑 Added 2023-11-29 17:00:08 +0000 UTCThank you for all of your fantastic suggestions! There were too many to choose from so I will be doing at least 2 holiday polls this year. I don't want to focus too much on Holiday content this year, but I feel like 2 films is a good amount to get into the spirit.
For this poll, I wanted to focus on films that I haven't seen. A TON of you suggested Love Actually which ACTUALLY surprised me! I'm pretty sure I've seen bits from that film, but not the whole thing. I certainly don't remember it at all, but I will include it in the next poll, along with other films I've seen or have seen parts of.
There were also some films mentioned a bunch that I am actually a little TOO familiar with. So you will not see these in any polls:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1996)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey's version)
Home Alone 2 (saw this last year with Tyler)
Elf
Looking forward to seeing what you all pick! As always, thank you for your support here on Patreon. Happy Holidays!

KKBB is leading now but I have no idea when this poll ends and I have no idea if we're still gonna win when that time comes. Or tie. Or lose. When does this poll end? Anyone?
James finneran
while getting merry last night I watched Lethal Weapon and Die Hard—two great Christmas movies. on this poll, our two other favourite Christmas movies Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Violent Night
Simon Bauer
Theres two short xmas films from How To Train Your Dragon. Gift of the Night Fury 2011 and Homecoming 2018. Both would be a fun holiday short watch :)
jamie jones
Die hard has already been done my dude
Wild_Lee_Coyote
What about Die Hard or the Gremlins, both are fun holiday movies.
ThinkClint
I honestly think It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite movie of all time. Timeless and classic - it has lost none of it's impact despite it being 60 something years old. It still moves me when I watch it.
lance tophoj
Violent Night!!!!
Simon Bauer
Klaus is better than all of these, no ones seen it thats why its so low!!! Also being an animated film it needs its own category
Kyle Turning Robe
Same can said about Die Hard.
Mike Hell
Wow so disappointing to see Klaus at 14% :( and KKBB is in the lead now? It's not a Christmas movie--like at all, it's just set during the holiday season, there's no Christmas theme or anything--so maybe this ended up being a sneaky way of getting Nat to do 2 more Xmas movie polls, so I guess that works?
Richard Flores
I swear I lost it at NAJP and it only went worse from there. Just... that was just so good. Wait! And such a great call-back in IM3! "I loved you in 'A Christmas Story', by the way." That whole game of who resembles a celebrity.
Richard Flores
Hopefully it gets more attention now. Even if it loses, it made a great fight. And if it wins, wow. If it wins....
Stay Angry, Little Meg
omg I LOVE Kiss Kiss Bang Bang! It's absolutely why Marvel hired the director to do Iron Man 3, and similar in that I wouldn't necessarily call it a Christmas movie, despite being set during that season. And contains my favorite comedic exchange in any movie ever? About 20 minutes in?
Paul Patine
(And Claire Trevor won the Oscar for her supporting role in Key Largo, so there's that too!)
Paul Patine
I voted for Violent Night, but I hope one day you'll watch It's a Wonderful Life. And also one day please watch Key Largo -- not an Xmas movie, just a good one to watch someday, if you haven't already. With those 2 movies, you'll see 2 very different roles played by Lionel Barrymore.
José R. Colón
I also forgot Sneakers with Robert Redford and Ben Kingsley. I KNOW you would love it. Oy vey!!!
Lucky Dragon
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang shouldn't be included. It’s just set during Christmas but doesn't have anything to do with the holiday
Nathaniel Wolf
I am definitely in favor of either violent nights or kiss kiss bang bang
Greta Buskirk
Disappointing to see Klaus so far behind. It makes sense, this community tends to favor more action/comedy than wholesome, but it's disappointing all the same. I guess we can always try next year.
RabidMango
I am flabbergasted that Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is in the lead. I'm down with any movie but that one is such a gem and never gets any attention.
Bryce Morita
Was torn between Klaus and Scrooged.
TwistedMagoo
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is just a great movie, no disrespect to the others on the list, but I definitely hope it wins
Julian Lee
Klaus is SOOOOO underrated and wholesome
SmokeAndACoffee
I'm in the camp of Die Hard being one of my favorite "christmas movies" so..... xP
Mike Hell
I haven't seen Scrooged in many years so I only have a vague memory of the scene you mentioned, but by your description, isn't that a reason why Violent Night is a POOR choice for a Christmas movie? It's an action movie with a Christmas Skin over it. Now Klaus, on the other hand... ;)
Alan Felicia
DORKS?! LOL! How dare you?
SmokeAndACoffee
All of these are pretty amazing, Scrooged and White Christmas are traditions for the holiday in my fam! I had to vote Kiss Kiss Bang Bang just because it's such a damned excellent movie that I'm 99% sure Nat will thoroughly enjoy. I really want to see Violent Night myself though too. Thinking while typing: Violent Night should be watched AFTER Scrooged as the moment I saw the trailer for Violent Night my first thought was "Hey! This is totally the movie Bill Murray's character in Scrooged wanted to make! Lol!" (and if anyone says that's a spoiler, bite me. That's such a 2 sec thing in Scrooged that holds so little importance to the story... just eff off with that nonsense *chuckles)
Jessa L Ochman
Ahhh man I want Scrooged so bad haha
Bethany Wright
I watched violent on Christmas eve for my birthday in cinema when it first came out it was great how it ended exactly on midnight Christmas day
Ali D
I have a headache looking at these poll results!
Ali D
Agree! I won’t be snuggling up to watch that in the run up to Christmas!
Rey
Good movie!
Rey
2 is a good number for holiday films i feel like.
Hades
Rise of the guardians, great animated film, and I had such a crush on the main character when I was a kid
Navjot Singh
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is not a Christmas movie. It's a good movie but not a Christmas movie. Violent Night should win.
Sunflower Mari
Hoping for Klaus <3
Daniel McGuinness
Scrooged is the GOATed Christmas movie for me 😭
Quick
Much as I love Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, it's not a Christmas movie. Shane Black just loves setting his movies at Christmas time.
Mike Hell
Yeah it’s not a Christmas movie, it’s just a fun mystery/comedy that takes place during Christmas. Good film, but shouldn’t be in this list.
Mike Hell
New as in recent, as opposed to the other films on this list. Nat’s audience tends to skew young and impressionable, so a newer film starring Daddy Hopper is gonna be an easy vote for the Zennials who haven’t watched “The Classics” and I am firmly planting my feet in the camp that Klaus is a new addition to the classic Christmas film list. Violent Night is not going to be a classic. It is certainly not a terrible film, it’s just a meh film. To me, anyway. Clearly a lot of people don’t think so.
David Collins
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is Die Hard's step-sister. It's hot, and technically not actually related. But it's still not a Christmas movie.
DustinChecksIn
Cmon kiss kiss bang bang! Pleeeaaase
Edward Rahardjo
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang really is a hidden gem
David Collins
"It's A Wonderful Life" does not belong on a poll. It's a classic. It's THE classic. You just watch it and do so on Christmas day. The only question is, do you feel like setting up a camera to catch your reaction the first time you do? So I voted for Violent Night, cause that movie ROCKS!!
slypeartree
I think I have seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang but do not remember it at all, I certainly did not remember it as a Christmas movie. Is it in a similar situation to Die Hard in that regard? In any case I voted Scrooged since I have not seen it in a long while but I do remember it was a fantastic version of "A Christmas Carol".
jamie jones
Bad santa would be sweet. Kiss kiss bang bang has my vote here
Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez
no, it was new last year...when it was available on streaming and people asked for it...Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a good movie but is barely a christmas movie compared to Violent Night(we could say is like Iron Man 3 that happens during Christmas but nothing else)...I do want her to watch both but I think she would be more shocked by Violent Night
Explxsive
I wish Klaus was getting more votes because it is probably the best animated Christmas movie I’ve seen in the last 10 years. So worth the watch
Yani Dodge
I highly recommend! It's an animated film on Netflix, one of my new favorite Christmas films :)
Yani Dodge
Come on Klaus! It's so good :D
Christian Fierro
Fingers crossed for Scrooged!
K.N.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is fantastic. Hilarious that it's in the poll just because every Shane Black movie takes place at Christmas.
Mike Hell
Seriously guys. She’s only watching 2 Christmas movies this season and you want 1 of them to be Violent Night? An—at best—one-time-watch goofy violent xmas film? It’s just because it’s new, isn’t it… You’re all insane.
Walter Lopez
Die Hard 2 but I'll choose Violent Night... oh wait Kiss Kiss Bang Bang might win? Heck yea
John Piazza
Best Christmas movie ever besides Krampus
PureGonzo
FINALLY Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is going to win one! Let’s go!! Lol
John Piazza
Never heard of Klaus but Violent Night is awesome. Especially since she likes David Harbour
Derek H.
Scrooged for sure. You should also do It's a Wonderful Life sometime, but it wouldn't need to be around Christmas. It's at most tangentially a Christmas movie.
Patrick Egan
I have to give a shout-out to The Ref, a hilarious Xmas movie starring Dennis Leary
Aythius
KKBB has to win once, please
djKENTO
Come on KKBB!!!!
Chris Brown
Spirited (2022) with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell
Anthony Curione
Scrooged all the way
dv12
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang PLEASE!
Grigsy
Please do it’s a wonderful life. It’s a classic.
Daniel Vezina
Violent Night... seriously 😳😣😣
Michael Patrick
We can’t have nice things
Beckham Brooklyn Penza
Fuck off hahaha how is it's a wonderful life the least voted???
Frankie Crews
Will never stop trying for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
Alan Felicia
LOL! Finally got KKBB on the Poll & Violent Night is winning so far! Jim Hopper in a Santa outfit! Awesome! Its a Win, Win!
Mannygogou
It's a Wonderful Life in black & white for that epic feel...
Rosanne Stewart
OH, I hope it’s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It’s so smart and hilarious.
Mike Hell
lol I swear if you dorks choose Violent Night over a genuine new Christmas Classic like Klaus...
Tay Schumaker
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang will win a Patreon poll for someone someday. I have faith
FireGamer95
Klaus has been my Xmas movie every year since it came out. It’s such a heartwarming gem in a dying style.
Terra_Omega_3
Surprised people don’t want to see wonderful life. It’s THE Holiday movie
AC5555
You can’t not see it’s a wonderful life..
Jason Dolan
Scrooged better win this lol
John Piazza
If you don’t pick Violent Night then I’d say It’s A Wonderful Life or Scrooged. Don’t know how Krampus isn’t on this list though.
Ivari Tölp
Have you seen The Holiday (2006)? That's a great happy cry holiday flick. If you have, just ignore me. =)
Darryl Low
Happy Hump Holiday Movie Poll Day Nattie 😄 I haven't seen any of these movies so I will be excited to watch any of them with you. I'll go with Klaus as it seems to be a popular festive movie with the folks here. Have a great day 💛
Kevin Maguire
Come on! Let's make Kiss Kiss Bang Bang happen. You KNOW she'll love the movie.
Vidcutter
If you haven't seen it, check out Office Christmas Party. Not a great "reaction" movie but a fun one to chill out to
Jeff K
Man. This is a hard one. I have not seen Klaus or Violent Night so won't be voting for them (I'm sure they're good), but deciding between KKBB, Scrooged, and Wonderful Life is crazy difficult. It's a Wonderful Life is, like, THE Christmas movie so it seems like the natural pick, but KKBB and Scrooged are so damn fun.
Andy
Let Violent Night win please 🙏🙏🙏 David Harbour is freaking hilarious in it
