Gremlins 2 is one of the wildest rides out there.

Gremlins could have been a real horror show for kids to watch. Reportedly, the script first version was much darker than the final film. Various scenes were cut, including one which portrayed Billy's mother dying in her struggle with the gremlins, with her head thrown down the stairs when Billy arrives. There was also a scene where the gremlins ate Billy's dog and a scene where the gremlins attacked a McDonald's, eating customers instead of burgers.. So, yeah..

You should watch the second one!!! Its so funny
The Mad Icelander
Love the channel so I don't mean this in a harsh way, just constructive criticism. I've never understood watching reactions when the reactor has already seen the movie, even if it was a while ago. Kinda defeats the purpose of a reaction for me personally. Every time I hear that they've already seen the movie, I skip the reaction. Maybe it's just me. Just some feedback. Hope you had a Merry Christmas! :)

The most unrealistic part of GREMLINS is that the kids are in school on Christmas Eve

Nat: Can we just kill this woman? I mean I know it’s not that kind of movie. Me: well, actually….

If you get a chance watch the Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner called Nightmare at 20,000 feet. He plays a man on a plane who sees a gremlin tearing the wing apart but everyone thinks he’s crazy
Jacob King
This was part of the eighties kids’ horror starter pack along with Labyrinth, Poltergeist, Return to Oz, and The Witches. Obviously, the cultural shift where we decided it wasn’t great to actively traumatise children was a good thing but things were lost along the way.

Need your own copy to watch along

Anyone else overthink the “no feeding after midnight” rule? Like technically it’s always after midnight? Do I have to wait until after 12pm to feed him again? Is there just a constant reoccurring 12 hour period where your new magic dog is cursed? I’d have Gremlins so quick…

I cant watch any movie cuz they have a timer on it can someone help me how to see

Iconic movie 😭 I’ve been slacking on my Christmas movie watching this year so this will have to do 😂 Ik you’re swamped with scheduling so it may be a while but I’d love to see you react to Bo Burnham’s “Inside” 👀 some reactors did it as a patreon exclusive to try and circumvent the hellish copyright censors on youtube Anyway, love the content, another great reaction 😊 Merry Christmas when it comes, Nat! If you get a Mogwai, remember, no food after midnight! And don’t get him wet!

The big mystery of this movie is what job does Mrs. Peltzer have that the family can afford this house? The ROI of the dad's inventions have got to be so deeply in the negative
Chris Biebel
This movie was supposed to be a lot darker (as in, Gizmo actually turned and at one point they threw the mom's head down the stairs). Spielberg suggested that they make it more light-hearted. I don't know how much you noticed from the convention where the dad was calling from. In the background they had the time machine from The Time Machine and when they cut back to it, it had disappeared. Also, when they first showed the dad, a guy rode in front of him on a vehicle. The guy was Steven Spielberg. The term Gremlin actually does trace it's roots to WWII. Whenever there was problems with equipment, it was blamed on Gremlins. There's even a Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner where he's on a plane and he looks out the window and sees a Gremlin attacking the plane. BTW, there are a number of Spielberg references in the movie. The poster of the DJ shows him dressed as Indiana Jones. The two movie titles at the theater ("A Boy's Life" and "Watch the Skies") were the working titles for E.T. and Close Encounters, respectively. The guy in the bar complimenting Billy on his drawing of Mrs. Deagle as a dragon is none other that Chuck Jones, of Looney Tunes fame.

The sequel is better in my opinion due in large part to it being fully sef-aware.

I watched this as a kid on a family trip to NYC. I remember my parents were trying to get tickets to see Cats on Broadway, but they were unsuccessful. So they took me and my brother to see this instead! LOL! Not quite the same vibe. It scared me a little, but not too bad. The microwave was the worst part I remembered. Happy Holidays Nat!!

Hi Natalie! :) This movie is an old favorite of mine and I'm very happy to be watching this with you, today! :) Very happy that you're feeling well. I'm feeling mighty fine as well. This should be a fun watchalong! :) I'm super stoked to continue on with Band of Brothers and Invincible! They're BOTH amazing shows in my book! This movie's kinda spooky, yeah. It didn't scare me as a kid but it did creep me out a tiny bit. I've always lived in the Pacific Northwest - the land of rainfall. This is NOT the place to own a mogwai! xD This theme ALWAYS hits me in the feels when I first hear it. The dog didn't get a verbal goodnight! </3 xD Dude has some awesome posters in his room. Saw a Road Warrior poster up on the wall. As a kiddo I had tons of posters up on my wall. :) hahahaha, your face when the dog was found up on the thing outside! The woman has unlimited patience. hahaha Okay - so I totally stopped writing along as I watched at that point. hahahaha, I just got wrapped up in the movie! xD This one's super silly and I'm a huge fan of it. :) Really enjoyed the reaction, Natalie - great job! :)

Happy Holidays Nat! Love Gremlins, but I'll say, the 2nd movie is even more crazy. I have no idea how to explain how this is possible but I like the 2nd one even better because of how insane it is. These movies are also purposly campy and its brilliant. 😂😂

"If you hit the stream button instead of the record button, you can always blame it on a gremlin..."

I was ready for more apes ngl but i will happily settle for some mogwai

Happy Holiday Feature Friday Nat 😊 So excited to watch this movie with you today. Been looking forward to it all week. It's still my favourite Christmas movie. "I wish I could bring my dogs to work" ha ha Nat 😄 I loved watching this one with you Nat. There's so many lines in this film that my brother and I quote on a weekly basis 😄 I just love Joe Dante's humour, which he puts into all his films, and he's a massive sci-fi and horror film buff, so there are always a ton of references in the background. The 2 films being shown at the cinema at the start "A Boy's Life" and "Watch the Skies" were 2 early titles for E.T. while they were shooting it. Steven Spielberg was a producer on this film and he makes a cameo at the inventor's convention, as does composer Jerry Goldsmith. This movie was the 2nd of his 9 collaborations with Joe Dante. The design of the mogwai was modelled on Spielberg's Cavalier King Charles spaniel, and it was his idea to keep Gizmo untransformed for the whole movie. I love when you shouted "Can we just kill this woman!" about Mrs Deagle ha ha. It was coming 😂 Thanks for a brilliant reaction today Nat. It was a blast. And thanks for all your awesome work this week. Hope you and Tyler, and your family have a great weekend and happy holidays to you all 💛
