Ya. I finished s1 with Nat. Haven't started s2 yet though
Agha
Hey man, have you ende dup continuing this show ? Season 2 is so good. I hope you ended up watching the end of this season.

Congrats on getting married! Its a shame you're losing the Gold surname lol, and also that the IRS is making you deal with their obnoxious shenanigans
Kevin
Natalie said she wouldn't have waited an hour and would have just left the room... If Amber waited an hour, I wonder how many minutes before Nat would have walked out...

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a great introduction with the plusside of de english dub being decent too
Jared Watts
With the exception of the opening the start of the show is kinda slow and I totally get being tired of superhero stuff. Have you ever thought about watching more anime, if so Full Metal Alchemist brotherhood is a great introduction and usually sits near if not on the top of goat anime seriesβ
Nick Luce
Soooo you didn't watch The other 3 episodes? Even just those three expand on it A TON, and we still have a whole other half of the season left. Maybe don't judge something you only watched one episode of?
Michael Rockenfelder
"S2 did nothing with that reveal." Well that's just a straight up lie
Navjot Singh
I agree with you completely. There is nothing groundbreaking about the show and it gets boring pretty fast. In fact, it's going to continue like this. It's just a regular superhero show. This is why I couldn't continue after S2E1. The only reason I finished S1 was to find out why Omni man did it. S2 did nothing with that reveal. The only episode worth watching is the Atom Eve Special between S1 and S2. That you'll probably enjoy.

yeah i agree that episodes 3 and 4 are a little slower, and i totally understand that you're just worn out by superheroes, but i think you'll end up liking the show. as someone that read the comics, the further into the story we get, the further itll stray from your typical surface level superhero stuff. i hope you stick with it tho, the back half of season one is so good.

Hooray TAXES! xD I'm watching this right after watching the first episode of Band of Brothers. lmao, I don't have the IRS in my future. Eight episodes is pretty digestible for a show like this. Eight quick and easy episodes! I'm sorta disappointed that you're finding this boring. :/ I'm entertained throughout! I dig on the characters and each of their dealios. This may not be a show for you is all. Disappointing but it's all good. I may enjoy this show so much because I began watching this when it started. No matter - if this show doesn't continue I'll be disappointed but it's all good. :)

I agree with most of your comments, superhero fatigue is real and, while I rave about Invincible for its story, itβs easy to forget that that story is drip-fed through a series of individual adventures π However I do feel like once the ball gets rolling with this show it starts to move very quickly, stay strong Nat!
Ariana Mitchell
i get what you mean about the dialogue. the characters were what kept me watching and invested

Hello and happy holidays! Iβm new here :) But, youβre definitely right about the lack of rich dialogue at this point in the series. After watching season 1, I read the comics and it was clear the writers made changes to increase early intrigue, but not early complexity. I loved season 1 even with its flaws and felt rewarded towards the end. Great reactions thus far π I hope you feel better about the development of story and characters as they progress!
Sean
It's a fair criticism. Right now, Invincible is in the standard superhero tropes and everything seems very cut and dry. Nothing shown is truly unique. The comic breaks out of that. Toward the end of this season, shades of grey become apparent. Season one has the burden of setup.

I only made it half way through this series originally before I just dropped it. I feel ya when you describe it as vanilla
Berry
Hey Nat, it's totally true that large parts of this show can be very vanilla. People rave about the show because they love uncovering the mystery of Omni-man (and Robot), not because they want to see Invincible beat up some random goons. You kinda need to take the spicy stuff with the bland :)
Mike Hell
Regarding your outro, It might be superhero fatigue, especially coming right off of Gen V, but I know how you feel. The middle episodes are definitely setting up some more exposition and I agree that some of the dialogue is just bland. In fact, the next episode is probably my least favorite of the entire series so far. What really solidifies this show, for me, is episodes 7 & 8, which has some of the best acting from JK Simmons and particularly Steven Yeun. I actually recommend watching those 2 episodes back-to-back. In any case, still a good reaction from you and I hope you stick with it! It does deliver eventually ;)
Ian
Happy boxing day nat π I always forget we still get content during the festive period so this is a lovely surprise π cheers nat π₯ listening to your outro tbh after having watched the boys which is written so well and then gen v which I equally enjoyed it was a surprise you put this in a poll so soon after but here we are and im enjoying it but understand your thoughts a hundred percent π

Happy Holiday Tuesday Nat. Hope you are doing well. Good result for your Birds last night. Something to build on. π Looking forward to watching more Invincible with you today. I get what you're saying about this show Nat and the structuring of the episodes. I noticed that the writer is Robert Kirkman. He also wrote The Walking Dead, and that show ultimately became 50 minutes of filler, ending on a cliff-hanger to make sure you tuned in the next week. It became predictable and ultimately, I gave up on that show. It's still early days on Invincible, and the characters and the mystery have me hooked enough at the moment to want to know why the Guardians were taken out. Thanks for your reaction today Nat π
