You're gonna watch The Substance at some point? 👀
Skellyp
Never is a long time
Mastervodo
Will probably never happen, unless it's a Patreon Exclusive.
Rusty
just putting romulus here doesnt really make much sense, its obviously going to win
Thomas Wetherell
Definitely the best two characters in the show.
Joshua Frydenlund
I love Star Trek! DS9 is my favorite and I guess since Star Trek uses Navy names for their ships names I can see what you mean!
Marcus Powell
I finally picked the winning category. Yay me, (Ahem, ahem) masculine voice returns… head nod, wassup…
Mauricio Morales
Total recall would be a fun watch, strong recommendation for sure
Eric Janssen
I never run out of movies, since I know there were OTHER big-ship Royal Navy epics made in Hollywood history besides “Master & Commander”. (They’re just like Star Trek! 😛)
Joao
hopefully will get you to reactto Wicked, soon.
Boomcity
Also true.
Skellyp
Can’t wait for AoT to be on a poll one day
Mastervodo
Total Recall and then True Lies.
Mastervodo
Running out of movies? I could list at least 50 off the top of my head I want her to watch!
Mastervodo
"Don't call me that. I'm a member of Parliament, not your favorite stripper. " "You could be both."
Ben Curran
Lets see if you like it or not. I think it has won cos everyone knows you are not really into scary shit so this will get a good reaction. That being said by far the worst Alien movie for me by far... Not gonna go into why but yeah... Was excited to watch it cos I love the Alien franchise too.
Joshua King
ABSOLUTELY!!!
Thomas Wetherell
“I am that guy.”
Steven Hok
If you ever decide to do a Sci-fi tv series, you should check out The Expanse!
Noctis
Well because Prometheus and covenant set up the Mythos and plus Michael Fassbender lol.
manlyvegetables
I recently watched Alien: Romulus, it's one of the best entries in the series imo. Hope you end up watching it!
Hertzweil
Gattaca loses again. I wish more highly-acclaimed films were in these polls :/
Joshua Frydenlund
I seriously understand that you are running out of movies. Two movies that you would probably love are “Master and Commander” and “Conspiracy”. SERIOUSLY, u r welcome.
Jonatan Maidana
Still waiting for The Sandman S1 .. .. ... Please.
Steve
There's a chance that one day we'll see a poll and it'll be the Iron Claw, Morbius, and Blade Trinity...and it'll still lose, but it'll be closer than ever. I mean, I'd kind of be okay if she just checked it out on her own time. I want that reaction, for sure, but it's so good and she shouldn't not see a brilliant film just for the sake of content.
Edward Rahardjo
I'm going to argue for Gattaca again
Chet Brusk
Andrew Niccol's filmography deserves attention. Even where they miss they do so with beauty and emotion.
Chet Brusk
The best thing about Total Recall (2012) is that it wards off other but-why remake projects.
Kage Beverly
IRON CLAW!!
Chet Brusk
Yes -- if you're looking for emotional damage, 1970s films deliver.
Raieldon
I wonder, what do you think of using the checkbox voting option instead of first-past-the-post? Other reactors I know like it for giving a more representative sample.
JD Shick
With the new Daredevil show coming out in a couple of months I hope that you'll get the chance to finish up season 3 of the Netflix Daredevil show! But either way keep up the good work!
Thomas Richter
A Clockwork Orange would be my choice, but it has no chance of winning. 😔 So Total Recall it is...
thansen
I thought there were some good moments and I really liked Cailee Spaeny. I think she is very talented. But, all in all, one of the dumbest Alien movies yet. And that is saying something.
thansen
I would like that, too. I didn't start watching films from those times until a few years ago and there are a lot of great ones.
thansen
I do like Star Wars. I think it's the best film in the franchise. But I think Close Encounters is a much better film.
thansen
Looks like Alien Romulus will win but it's probably the worst movie on there. Cailee Spaeny is very good in it, though.
jamie jones
Genuinely traumatizing? Way to be dramatic. It’s a movie. Natalie isn't 4 years old.
Tiger Chu
The Nice Guys
Mike Hell
Hell yeah, a Robocop/Total Recall double feature would be a great idea!
Eric Janssen
When in doubt, always watch a 70’s movie: 😎 In our day, Close Encounters was always mentioned in the same sentence with the original Star Wars, but…not so much today. But this was the movie that made Spielberg Spielberg, four years BEFORE E.T.
Opti_Frog
Once again, a list of seminal sci-fi classics. And also a movie that, after the stupidity of Prometheus and boredom of Covenant, found both new and old ways to be a bad Alien movie. To be fair, Romulus is better than its two predecessors, but that's the lowest of bars to clear.
Thomas Wetherell
Still hoping to see Black Hawk Down on a poll before too long.
Daniel McGuinness
In regards to ideas for long tv shows to watch, if not Buffy, I’ve been rewatching Doctor Who and I forgot how great seasons 1-4 are, literally peak sci-fi television
vlocke67
i really like gattaca, sad to see it not doing well in the poll. It's understandable though, it has tough competition
HeyItsSuper
If you get around to reacting to Total Recall, make sure it's the one from 1990 with Arnold Schwarzenegger. There is also one from 2012 with Colin Farrell, haven't seen it though, so can't speak on it
Dale Diaz
these are all great movies
Jason Dolan
Oh boy so happy to see ALIEN ROMULUS is winning this poll!
Jimmie V
Unless she's watching the film in the way films are watched in this film (trying to explain without spoiling), I think "genuinely traumatizing" is unnecessary hyperbole. It's a difficult film and designed to be that way, yes, but it's not going to induce "a serious, often chronic physiological disruption of the nervous system."
Brant Campbell
I liked the first 20-30 minutes quite a lot, and then it devolved into "Alien: Memberberries" and became almost pathologically cringy. By the end I wanted to hop in a car and go fight the script writer.
Chris Capitano
Finish the fast and furious series
Keith Ellis
Well, yeah. But I think it would be genuinely traumatizing. That's kinda the point. Kubrick was very happy to torture his audience as a lesson about torture and control. The movie should be repellent but the lead should be darkly alluring and also repellent. Like the movie.
Keith Ellis
A Clockwork Orange is one of my favorite films. It's my favorite Kubrick film. I didn't vote for it because I think it would be too much for Natalie. WAY too much. Just its bleakness is enough—we don't even need to talk about the the violence, or murder, or torture. It's also intensely ironic, even more than is usual. I do think it's a great film in both technique and theme. Completely successful at what it set out to do. Oh, well. This is a weird list. Gattaca is too cerebral. I mean, if you really care about filmmaking you need to see the top three. The photography! All three! Total Recall is a fun ride. I'm old; my aliens stopped when they became plural. So, I voted Close Encounters. It's very, very Spielberg. You can find me listening to Ludwig Van at the milk-shop. *tilts head forward and smiles*
Eric
I’d like to see Nat reacts to older films in 40s, 50s, 60s, even a Chaplin silent film
Mastervodo
I think you are thinking of Close Encounters Boomcity. Now THAT film is overrated.
Mastervodo
I won't miss you. Because I'll still see you on Star Trek Sundays! :)
Jaymes Shermack
These polls consistently disappoint me in that the far more interesting and thematic films are forsaken for whatever is new.
Troymk1
I have seen all these. Romulus is by far the least deserving. What is going on ?
Joe D. MacGuffinstuff
Oof, one of those tough choices because they're all good, but I have to go Gattaca, it's just one of those one off Sci Fi movies that I love on a deeper level.
Michael Bergeron
Recency bias was always gonna win this, and that’s fine cause Romulus is a good movie, and probably best Alien movie in a while. But if you do get back to watching multiple movies in a week like you were doing last year should keep some of these in mind for additional movies, especially Total Recall cause it’s just a fun movie
Marvin Just Marvin
Gattaca! Gattaca!! Oh wait, I'm thinking of Attica ;-)
Metallitron
I love Romulus! it completely revitalized this dead franchise for me. Its worth watching for the third act alone.
Jason Gillman
Voted for Gattaca again but honestly super excited for Alien Romulus
Thats MR. Baldamort
Good thing that's not what most people think of this movie then :)
Ali D
I will continue to vote for Gattaca!
Darryl Low
Take care of yourself. All the best for the future 😊
Ian
Kind of you to say but nah in a few weeks it will be like I never existed, everything moves on right. You I will definitely miss the most for sure
Berry
I would agree that Yellowjackets S1 is very very good, but S2 was a bit of a letdown. However, there was one very fun cast addition, so I still have hope for S3.
Mike Hell
I am picking Total Recall because it's just a fun Arnie sci-fi film. Also I am assuming it's the original and not the boring remake.
Boomcity
Gattaca is boring dogshit
Chris Cooper
Really don't understand what people saw in Romulus. It's really not a great film, and it's certainly not a great Alien film. Awful AI CGI aside it's just full of unearned nostalgia bait and unlikeable characters for me. Would rather watch any other film on this list.
Athenor
It hurts to not pick Gattaca, but total recall needs to be part of your foundation of science fiction
jamie jones
Why? Romulus takes place between alien and aliens.
Daniel McGuinness
I’m all for jumping into Romulus! There’s small connections to Prometheus and Covenant so I was onboard for watching those first, but they are kinda debated quality-wise, and it’s fine to watch Romulus without anyway so!
Darryl Low
Damn, buddy. We're going to miss you 😢
Shaun Bloom
Some people can create their own jump scares when they think there will be one and just end up scaring themselves.
Noctis
I think you should start with Prometheus, if you are going to do the newer Alien movies.
jamie jones
What jump scares? I dont recall a single one in romulus
justajester
The original total recall right?
Troy
I have to go with Gattaca, even though I know it's going to lose. It is an underrated gem of a movie!
jamie jones
Invincible season 3 starts next week. Just a little fyi
Jimmie V
Anybody who's seen all these films knows that A Clockwork Orange will EASILY get the biggest reaction out of Nat here. Do you really want to miss that? Not to mention it's a renowned masterpiece...
Ian
Just here to say goodbye to the channel and vote one final time . Total recall I'm assuming it's the Arnie one not the remake . Anyways thanks for the memories nat and all the best in the future and may your success grow and grow , stay golden 💛
Berry
Dammit, I still think Gattaca is an excellent movie...but Total Recall is just sooo much fun. Might as well do RoboCop too so you can complete the Paul Verhoeven Sci-Fi trilogy (not counting Hollow Man).
Shaun Bloom
She has watched Alien and Aliens. She has also watched Predator and Prey.
Brant Campbell
WHY is Gattaca still in last place? *Alien Romulus*? Seriously?
Shaun Bloom
I was wondering the same thing. Love the original Total Recall
BettleBug
Would you ever consider watching Yellowjackets? Season 3 is airing next month, so it feels relevant. It's got a great mystery and will keep you on the edge of your seat. (Also, Ella Purnell is in it :)
Alberto Ramirez
Voted for Close Encounters just so Nat can brush up on older films, but I figure Romulus is going to win lol
Shaun Bloom
I picked Alien: Romulus because it's a great film but also for the jump scares. Also thank you Natalie for suffering through movies and shows that scare you for making entertaining content.
Darryl Low
Happy Wednesday Nat. Going with Total Recall this time. Alien will probably win but I thought it was kind of disappointing. Have a great day Nat 💛
Crash Raynor
Which total recall? The original? Then yes, that one. The new movie isn't even really a remake, except the very basic concept.
Jay Davis
Seems like everyone givin' me a shot at votin' Close Encounters this week. So I'ma vote it.
Boomcity
Alien Romulus! Fede Álvarez is the goat when it comes to breathing new life into classic horror/sci-fi franchises.
Jonathan Wiking
How many of the alien films have she seen?
Nick Freer
Nat get your ass too Mars !!
Redrum Ritual
I already know what's going to win so it doesn't matter
