As someone who doesn't use subtitles unless they're necessary - I didn't see that either. Though, I did recognize the voice. Either way, this'll be interesting.

I hated in the comics that Angstrom survived. Completely undercuts having Mark being conflicted with his darker side.

1) Mark explicitly states he’s always holding back, so Oliver isn’t stronger. 2) It’s Oliver’s genetics. Nolan saved Thraxans and they’ve hailed him as hero. Because Thraxans live 1 human year, their memory is perfect, so Oliver remembers everything since birth (Nolan being praised, his planet being slaughtered by Viltrumites, his people dying around him faster than him, etc;) so death is normal, and most lives aren’t precious for him (he doesn’t know if Nolan is alive either). Because he’s 1/2 Thraxan, 1/2 Viltrumite, he ages slower than humans but faster than Mark, and because of that, he doesn’t have the luxury of getting a normal childhood like Mark, who was 17 when he got his powers, whereas Oliver, in real time (in the show), is around 6-8 months old (he is FORCED to grow up bc of who he is, which is why he hurries to join the superhero life). Because of all of this, he only sees Nolan as a good person, who Mark helped stop Viltrumites from murdering Thraxa, no one probably told him that Omni-Man had a bad reputation on Earth either. 3) This makes Mark a hypocrite because he gets mad at Cecil for rehabilitating people & says they should be in jail, when Oliver just killed the Maulers and lets him go

Criminals trying to make an honest living but being hindered by the system and ultimately falling back into their criminal activity… sad times :/ great opening that contributes more to the idea that people aren’t inherently bad

We don't KNOW that it is Angstrom but even if it is, it could be one from another dimension. Remember, at the time in S2, Levy said he was connecting to other devices that had even more versions of him so who knows what happened to them when the one in Mark's universe exploded. Also, it seems, that when Cecil used his pistol on Knuckle Duster & Force Fist (I think those were the names) they appeared to stay dead.

Happy Thursday Nat. I loved the opening sequence today. They conveyed so much without using any dialogue. It was really cool. Another crazy cliffhanger as well. Thanks for a great reaction today 😊
