Denis Villeneuve is my favorite director, and I've been waiting forever for Sicario to make it onto a poll. However, I've been suggesting Children of Men even longer, it's a better movie, and I think Natalie with her filmmaking background will love the uniqueness of Children of Men in that aspect.

you make a good point, I personally enjoy the originals and the remakes because I find the changes interesting. That being said there are a lot of knock offs, Ghosts and High Potential just recently. I thought that maybe Nat might have been talking about the original just because she has done some pretty good reactions of Korean movies already.

Yeah but this is a movie that everyone watched and loved I'll even say it's on par with Forest Gump that's how good it is and Nat's reaction would be amazing. Also it's been a minute since had a history like movie.

For Oldboy there are two versions, if you put it in a poll again, you might want to mention which version you are planning on watching. I have never seen the original just the Spike Lee remake with Josh Brolin and Elisabeth Olsen, Samuel L Jackson, Sharlto Copley. 2003 South Korean Movie or 2013 American Remake?

Nat, holy hell, this is a 10/10 poll and every losing candidate needs to be on future polls. I voted for CoM here, just because I utterly adore it, but picking it over Sicario was like having to decide which finger I prefer getting cut off.

These are all damn good movies (assuming Oldboy is the original, and not the remake--great cast, but dull effort); but, Children of Men is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. So, Children of Men all the way.

I think Children of Men is one of the best movies ever made. Gorgeous, terrifying, dystopian and exciting. I cannot praise it enough. I really like Das Boot and Sicario too. All very gloomy films.

first time when i'm really hurt and baffled that children of men is losing to anything. but both children and oldboy losing to sicario, bruh.. sicario is just excelling on a technical level & acting wise, there's nothing else special about it, ridiculous

Very good list. Hard to pick a favourite. Children of Men has a cinematography style that still holds up today. Korean Oldboy is a masterpiece. It put Korean cinema on the map for me, and is actually part of thematical vengeance trilogy. Sicario is a masterclass of Denis Villeneuve on how to build up tension, also amazing cinematography. And lastly Das Boot, which is just a classic if you want to watch WW2 movies

I picked children of men because it's a gorgeous, moving, introspective story about a world in crisis. If that appeals to you, it's a great way to go. If not, this would be a bad pick.

Children of Men is one of those movies that I find baffling how it's so highly rated. Terrible writing/plot holes towards the end especially. Sicario is amazing and I hope it gets Natalie to watch Wind River and/or Hell or High Water.

Sadly, while absolutely incredible, Iron Claw is never going to win a poll. Our best bet is she just decides to watch it for some reason on the channel, or she watches it in her spare time and reports back how much she loved it/cried/loved it, but definitely cried.

Damn, great list. It was between Children of Men and Oldboy for me and ended up voting Children of Men. If you ever decide to watch Oldboy, it has to be the Korean version, which is considered a masterpiece. The American remake is terrible.

Dang I might actually pick Children of Men instead of Sicario but both of those films would be great. Heck they're all good, though I've never seen Das Boot but heard it's fantastic so you really can't go wrong with this list. Also, for Oldboy, we need to make sure we’re talking about the original Korean film and not the atrocious Spike Lee version...
