A-Train's redemption arc actually started on it's own last season after he saw the damage supes can do when his brother got injured. Remember he apologized to Hughie in the Herogasm episode, which was so sincere Hughie was flabbergasted lol. And this season he did give Starlight the info about the guys being framed by Sage & Homelander of his own volition. So the writer's have been planning it for some time.

Another great scene from Billy, and Hughie up in the vents was so tense. Loving that A-Train is coming around.
