Anne was an EP on the show before she past away and her son Christopher is also a current EP and executor of the rights. I think they seem to be okay with the reinvention I imagine Anne at the very least okayed the casting and timeline changes in preproduction before she passed

oddly enough, one of the executive producers is Mark Bakshi, son of Ralph Bakshi the pioneering animator behind Fritz the Cat, Wizards, American Pop, Coonskin, Cool World and more, which makes sense now that I'm thinking about it since Cool World was a big moment for Brad Pitt...

Beyond the sexual harassment, Coppola also took convicted child predator Victor Salva under his wing and financed his films. Those films are little more than a way for Salva to explore his kinks in plain sight and considering his victims were the actors in his first film, his entire output as a film maker is tainted and disgusting. Those movies are the Jeepers Creepers franchise and Powder. Once I learned Coppola kept that guy around... made movies with him about children in danger... nah. No fuckin way. Too creepy.

The movie was awesome, the series not so much. Fanfiction is one way to call it. Different characters with different backgrounds in a different timeline, wished that Anne was still alive.

May be a bit early for October spooky suggestions but for Natmares this year would Interview with the Vampire TV series be something interesting in adding to the poll since season 2 just finished adaptating the second half of the book. Or possibly the 1994 film. Both are great and would recommend watching both for a comparison.

You know seeing that it's currently winning, I hadn't thought about it in a while, haven't seen the film in years, but AP was a movie that I ended up sharing with a lot of people. My bro and I were 17 when we rented it from Hollywood Video (on VHS) along with Norm McDonald’s “Screwed” which was also a pretty great comedy. We loved it, and shared it with family members (some DID NOT like it) and it just grew from there. Went to college and shared with friends and got into arguments about it, then eventually my wife and I saw it together and we ended up quoting it a lot, even to this day. My brothers and uncle would say shit like "I need to go return some videotapes" all the time, or "Have you heard Huey Lewis and the News" etc. lol sorry it's kinda weird thinking about it now. It started me on a Bret Easton Ellis book kick with AP, Glamorama, Less than Zero and Lunar Park. All great reads. Recommended. Okay I’m done lol now I hope it wins so I can rewatch it again with a whole new group of people and perspective EDIT: And right after I type this it starts losing lol alright maybe next time

Check out Punch Drunk Love and Reign Over Me. Punch Drunk Love is more of a dark comedy but he plays it totally straight and that's what makes it special. Reign Over Me is a drama where he plays a man who lost his family in 9/11. Not a GREAT movie but a great performance and the first time he really tried to show what he could be capable of.

It simplifies a giant and complex situation and makes it entertaining in the most commercial way possible. Honestly I wish more biopics were like it. It even tells you when it's bullshitting you for the sake of the story.

This is a pretty decent list of films. I think the most entertaining films to react to would be American Psycho or Uncut Gems, personally. Or Scarface. I literally just watched The Big Short for the first time last month, made my blood boil. Don't know if I'd want to watch that one again, although Nat's reaction could be interesting if she got as angry as me lol

that's a tough list. Godfather is top 5 movies of all time, it's quoted so much that alot of people don't know they're quoting it. American Psycho is meh, Scarface is meh but necessary, Big Short is fantastic but very #thisIsMerica so depressingly correct, I don't know Uncut Gems... it's on my list now. Godfather is by far the best movie there, it's not even close. You'll have a hard time ever finding a movie that good, and you might even like Godfather 2 better. No CG, no green screening, just amazing actors on an amazing script, filmed in a style that defined a genre
