Sexyβ¦in the beginning right??? :P
mrhalfbit
It looks like the original unrated uk version isn't available to stream anywhere....like anywhere. We might just have to have her react to it on youtube.
mrhalfbit
More specifically the original unrated uk cut!
JPOlsen
Thank you! Talk to me has the best car, most unique conflict concept and kept my attention 100%. It Follows comes close..
Logan Kerlee
The Fly has my vote.
Logan Kerlee
The Fly has my vote because it's a childhood fave of mine. I really enjoyed the movie as a youngster. Yes, it's mega creepy and pretty gross but it's flippin' cool as well! I'm hoping for it to win. :D
Chet Brusk
It's not only classic body horror but a tale of hubris and a tragic love story. I hope we see it in a poll again soon.
James Fisher
the descent nice jump scares
Rod Reavern
@Jeff Clark: No, "Terrifier" is gratuitous in the same way as "The Boys". The whole point is to deconstruct the genre, cross the artificial, arbitrary lines established by the lamestream horror genre, and revel in sadistic violence -- which is entertaining. The reason why the slasher sub-genre faded over time was because audiences went to see the franchises' iconic villains massacre dumba$$ teenagers in brutal but creative ways (which were often funny, like the famous Jason sleeping bag kill). However, the villains were always defeated by the Final Girl trope, which grew stale over time. The "Terrifier" franchise threw out the established rules in a way that meta movies like "Scream" only pretended to.

Everryooonesss seen the descent, It Follows or Talk to Me !!!
Jeff Clark
Honestly I think Terrifier is just gratuitous with it's gore to the point of it being unnecessary.
LionBro
Please add 'Attack the Block' to one of your Natmare polls. Alien invasion in South London and stars Jodie Whittaker, Nick Frost and it's John Boyega's acting debut. It's one of the best films ever made, in my opinion.
Skellyp
Everyone else makes it work. One day we will be rewarded with some AOT! Itβs just a matter of time.
Dene Benham
I 'll vote for young, sexy Jeff Goldblum every time.
El_Zilcho22
I'm torn between It Follows and The Descent. They're both great! Voted for It Follows to try to tie hahaha.
jamie jones
The winner is clear. Make sure you watch the uk version. Called unrated version in some places
Opti_Frog
I enjoy the 1958 Fly, but i love Cronenberg's 86 version with a passion. π
Rey
It really was a good one
R.J.Anthony
Well i didnt realise it was that old π And now im starting to realise how old im getting π
Kraackin
talk to me is the best one here :(
Albiezushi
From this list? It Follows!!

I agree that "The Descent" is overrated. I saw it in the theatre and bought the DVD to see the alternate ending, then it sat on my shelf for YEARS because creepy-things-in-the-dark aren't scary on re-watch. "The Fly" remake is also highly overrated. I remember growing up in the '90s, FOX29 aired it many, many times Saturday and Sunday afternoons and my parents didn't want me to watch it -- even though it was censored. I watched it anyway, mainly for its "forbidden" status. When I watched it as a grown-up, it wasn't anything special, other than an impressive achievement in practical effects for the time. But "The Thing" is far superior as both a movie and for its practical effects. The main issue is how stupid "the machine" worked because there are millions of bacteria, micro-organisms, and possibly other gross things living on and inside a human, all of which have DNA, so WHY wouldn't they get... [no-spoilers]? It's "Weird Science" level stupid. But the acting is top-notch. I voted for "It Follows" because it's an under-appreciated modern horror cult classic and it should make for the most entertaining reaction of the 4 choices. But I'd vote for "Trick 'r Treat" (2007) over all of them!
Jacki Goldberg
Inside joke with her. Sheβs fine with it. ;)
Jacob King
Torn between It Follows a great fun movie that would produce a good reaction and The Fly which is a proper classic.
Rod Reavern
Voting for movies that Natalie "won't be able to handle" is kinda masochistic and F'd up. I vote for movies that evoke the most entertaining reactions, not movies that inflict the most trauma. We're supposed to be fans of movies, not fans of misery.
Rod Reavern
"The Descent" is nearly 20 years old, so characterizing it as "modern" horror is a bit of a stretch. I'd categorize it as one of the best examples of the 2000s-era horror, alongside "28 Days Later" and the original "Saw". I'd define "Cabin in the Woods" (2011) as being the cut-off for modern horror movies, because of how it deftly dissected the genre, similar to how "Scream" did 15 years earlier.
Rod Reavern
"The Addams Family" (1991) would be a fun reaction. Natalie enjoyed the Netflix "Wednesday" series so it would be great if she watched the '90s film starring Christina Ricci -- if not for Halloween/Natmare 2024 then before Season 2 of "Wednesday".
Rod Reavern
If Natalie watches "Terrifier" before "Trick 'R Treat" I'll be so PO'd. π€¬ Nothing against "Terrifier" -- I own both movies and "All Hallow's Eve" -- but "Trick 'r Treat" is the more Halloween-appropriate horror cult classic. Whereas "Terrifier" is a hard-R and would NOT be a fun watch for Natalie.
John Liebling
Which one? 1958? Or 1986?
Rod Reavern
It's great to see there are more "Trick 'R Treat" fans here! I've been recommending Natalie watch my favourite Halloween-themed scary movies for the past two Natmare seasons that I've been a Patreon member, and longer since I've subscribed to her YT channel. "Trick 'R Treat" gets tragically overlooked by lamestream horror fans because it didn't get a proper theatrical release (because October 2008), but it's been a staple of my Halloween horror movie marathons for the past 15 years! I watched it at the After Dark Film Festival in Toronto, I've bought both Blu-ray releases and I just ordered the 4K Limited Edition. I also own the hardcover omnibus graphic novel and the 1.5-foot-tall Sam figure. Admittedly, I can't claim to be objective but "Trick 'r Treat" is the best Halloween-themed movie EVER!
Rod Reavern
"Talk To Me" is overrated, which is reflected by it being largely forgotten about and its last place on the poll. The movie over-performed because "The Haunted Mansion" flopped, making it the ONLY horror movie released Summer 2023. Also, its juxtaposition against Barbenheimer also helped it. But its box office "success" was relative to its $4.5 million budget and it being an Australian horror movie. "Talk to Me" was ok but leaned HARD into the "sh!tty teenagers getting what they deserve" horror trope. All but one of the characters were unsympathetic little sh!ts and the most unforgivable aspect of any horror movie: Most of them went UNPUNISHED! In stark contrast, "It Follows" has much more sympathetic characters, especially the protagonist, a more original concept, and a terrifyingly allegorical antagonist.

Second this
Opti_Frog
The Fly is not only one of my favourite horrors, but one of my favourite films of all time. It Follows is excellent. The Descent is mediocre imo.
R.J.Anthony
Got a funny feeling that aint happening π
Eivind Johnsen
Terrifier? :)
sleepless_dream
It Follows is a good movie, regardless of if you personally find it scary or not. Descent is f*cking TERRIFYING
Mike Hell
I'm down with most of these, particularly The Fly or The Descent as I haven't seen them in years and The Descent especially was pretty claustrophobic and frightening, although as others mentioned, specifically the Unrated edition. Hopefully you can find that one if it wins. Also I'd love to continue the Halloween franchise with the 2018 sequel sometime. That'd be awesome :)
Billy B
It follows is fantastic. The others are good too .
lorenzo penco
How many polls will you do this year?
Gary
All good!
Sean Vieira
If the Descent wins, please make sure you watch a version with the original ending and not the cop out US ending!!
Joseph Hallowell
TALK TO ME IS SO GOOD, it might lose the poll but please watch it some day!
mrhalfbit
Extended Edition of The Descent is a must!!$
jamie jones
Nat doesnt really fuck with anime. Too copyright strikey on her youtube channel
Skellyp
Canβt wait for AoT to be in a poll one day!
Christian Padilla

Christian Padilla
TALK to Me guys!
Peter Heine
I did some research on "The Descent" you can only rent or buy this on Amazon prime or Apple Itunes in the US, and this version is The Us R-rated version , NOT "the real ending" you can finde the real ending Scene by search on youtube for "The Descent - Ending Scene (HD)" youtube channel name "Captain Darrow" I would be very appreciated if you could react to this "real ending" ;)
Darryl Low
Nat is watching What We Do in the Shadows on Friday π
Redrum Ritual
Talk to Me, Hocus Pocus, What We Do in The Shadows. The Addams Family
JD Sharpe
These are all bangers
David Sumner
For the same reason?
RudyNizmo
Talk to me actually isnβt half bad ππ½
Sean Obrock
Trick R Treat would be awesome!
R.J.Anthony
The Descent is easily one of best modern horrors
John Liebling
Which fly? 1958 version or the Jeff 1986 version
jamie jones
Trick r treat and late night with devil should be considered for the next horror poll.
Logan Kerlee
The Fly had my vote from the get go. It's a good one!
Kelvin
Fly fly fly
Logan Kerlee
Yup! Sure is.
Logan Kerlee
That's why I'm voting for it! I'm a pretty big fan of that one. :)
Logan Kerlee
They don't hold up well at all - but that's part of it's charm. Plus, it stars Jeff Goldblum! C'mon.. hahaha
Rod Reavern
I voted for βIt Followsβ because Natalie recently watched βLonglegsβ and Maika Monroe stars in both movies. However, I highly recommend βTrick βR Treatβ (2007) because itβs the perfect Halloween-themed NATMARE movie.
Logan Kerlee
I'm voting for The Fly as well.
Logan Kerlee
I'm over here hoping for The Fly! It may strictly be horror but it totally has a ton of horror elements to it.
Adam Ramirez
Talk to Me after It Follows
Josh R
Come on the descent!!!!!!!!!! I believe in you!!!!
Daniel McGuinness
One of the most iconic horror movies of the 2000s, The Descent it is π₯Ή
Shrimp
Talk to me is SO good!!
Greg S.
The Descent.
Jacki Goldberg
The Descent needs to win! She wonβt be able to handle it! ;)
Ian
Any but the descent underground in the dark is my worst fear so if it wins will be skipping this on here and YouTube no thankyou π±
Ashley
I've never seen it follows but I've had it described to me. thats my pick.
Troy
I picked Talk to Me. Great movie.
Jason Gillman
Iβm a big Cronenberg fan so Iβm gonna vote for The Fly
Peter Heine
I agree if you watch "The Descent " watch the 1h 40m original unrated cut UK version
Mastervodo
I see what you did there.
David Sumner
I think the Descent is horribly overrated, but I realize that my opinion is in the minority. I kinda want her to watch the Fly just to see if she'll throw up! I'm a bit of a sadist, I know. It Follows is a great example of how a good concept and direction can make up for a low budget.
Alberto Ramirez
It's time you cross It Follows off your watchlist
Wally
I'm truly scared π¨. Such a good poll with great movies that all deserved to be watched. I'm going with "The Descent" because it's deserving of Natmare season. π» But, they're all good.
Baggie Mark
I'm not sure how well The Fly would hold up today, the special effects were great when it came out, but I'm not sure now..
Darryl Low
That's the one π¦π
Richard Maurer
These are all good movies. It Follows is the best of them.
Tucci
Just a heads up, you'll want to watch the original/UK version of The Descent if it wins. Different endings and most people prefer the original.
Adam McCabe
Love The Descent so much
Noctis
All great choice, but The Fly??? that movie is something else, not necessarily scary, but definitely something else lol.
Gavinmc
All are really good. Just watch them all :). You donβt need a life right? Just that chair, those headphones, and a box of Kleenex (and not even the tissues for these movies which you will be watching through your fingers as you keep hands over your eyes like 90% of the time)
Adithep_Jay
Is the fly the one with Jeff Goldblum?
Alex Day
The Descent is the most terrifying movie I have ever seen.....if that one wins I'll probably just wait for the YouTube reaction to come out.
Darryl Low
Happy Wednesday Nat. Seen all of these ones. My claustrophobia just couldn't handle The Descent again π Going to wing it and pick The Fly. There's a real buzz about that film. Have a great day Nat π
Michael GP
I donβt do horror but have seen The Descent and man I was stresssssed π°π°π°
Kessa_Brae
Not to worry you but It Follows messed me up for WEEKS.
Lobos625
I would love for her to react to all 4 of these
Jeff Clark
If you're gonna watch the Descent PLEASE make sure it's the UK version, they butchered the ending for the US version.
Cliff W
THE DESCENT!!! YES!!! Be very afraid, Nat.
Zakk Pierce
Hopefully the fly wins! But if not then the descent would be cool too!
