I think you’re comparing act 1 of season 2 to the whole season 1 which isn’t really fair. Many people thought act 1 of season 1 was underwhelming up until the last 10 min of episode 3.

No need. They are gonna cotinue to explore the world of runeterra with other stories. There is 169 champions on League of legends and a lot of interesting locations. Noxue, Ionia, Demacia, etc. Closing the story of vi and jinx in 2 seasons is a smart move.

Does anyone know if there is any videos on rge making of Arcane? As I would lolove to know how they created this show. I wonder if they used motion capture to create it.

2 things really set Arcane apart from other animated series, and put it at such a higher level is the music and the animation. It seems like every episode, or every other episode, they have a scene or two where they change up the animation style, and it's epic. They have put so much thought and care into it. For example, S1 Ep7, "The Boy Savior", the end battle of Ekko vs Jinx. S2 Ep1 the funeral scene for Cait's mom. And they pair it with a song that works so well with the scene. This episode, they had that mural-like "Last Supper" montage. It's so genius! They told a story - with no exposition mind you - of what is going on with the Lanes and Jinx in about 2 minutes. And the song, "Sucker" ~ Marcus King - was really great! I love the mood it set. I'd love to hear more thoughts from Natalie on what she thinks about the animation choices and how she feels about the songs. I really like the new opening credits as well being changed up. The part where it cuts to Jinx waving that "Revolutionary" -type flag gives me chills when it hits. Love this series!

I will say it’s beautiful and great, but so far I prefer the first season. More build up and background story. Still a lot can happen in the next 6 episodes. A lot of fighting is fine, but the back story is where the gold was. Still, a golden age for tv animation with this and Blue Eye Samuri.
