I mean they called her Violet in the beginning of the show, and everyone calls her "Vi" which would obviously be a nickname and not her full name. It just seemed like the most obvious and not subtle connection that I cannot believe she missed that, maybe she was crying too much to think clearly lol. Who else would that woman be? would be absurd to just have a random woman pregnant with a random unimportant girl to the story.

"Am I supposed to know who Violet is" Natalie sheesh that's one of the biggest things to go over your head that I've seen lmao. Violet is Vi... that's Vi and Jinx's mother who we saw dead in ep 1. She also has purple hair, while Vi and Jinx have red and blue hair.

This is one of, if not my favorite episode of the show! I appreciate how you understand the mental space that Vi is in. The hug broke me, it's the hardest the show has ever made me cry. They've been through so much, and the song is both them asking, what happened to us, and also the fans at the writers saying, 'what have you done to us!?'

Yeah and Powder called her Violet when they had their fight in the first season. She cried Violet when Vi hit her and was walking away before Marcus took her. Not many times people used her full name so it's understandable it wasn't caught. Nat would have really been in a puddle

The cup, straw, and orange juice Vander gives Felicia is the same cup, straw, and orange juice that Vander gives Powder in season 1 episode 2. It's the scene where Vander realizes Vi is going to turn herself in to the enforcers. The same exact song is playing on the jukebox! The cup Powder uses is all scuffed up, since it's been around for years. At some point she drew a starry scene on the cup, using the scuff marks as the centers of stars. Clearly, she loves that cup. This is one of my favorite parallels thus far, and hardly anyone notices it.

Yes: first act was beautiful, but felt like mostly fighting. Second act is still a lot of fighting, but more story and backstory! All the feels for sure

I can only recall Powder calling her Violet at the end of S1E3, albeit one of the more memorable scenes. Definitely isn't mentioned before that, and not sure anyone mentions it after that
