To construct the face, I use only simple shapes and points of symmetry for the nose, eyes and ears. I pay attention to muscles only for rendering details or sketching basic forms, although if we are talking about animals, it will be more useful to remember the direction of fur growth and the characteristic ways of dividing it into groups. https://sta.sh/01re0m0iaavg

When constructing the face with forms, do you go after like a muscle diagram or something? Myself am trying to learn to construct and shade with more structure, but it can be quite difficult I find what to breakdown and leave in. I make it like...too complex?
