Secret Apparel Update

In the photos above, you will see a few teaser mockups of our upcoming Patreon collection. We'll be expecting our pre-production samples to arrive in person in the coming weeks - in the meantime, here's the story of how things have come about.
The creative direction we've decided to take for the 2023 Patreon Secret Apparel Drop is "the OfflineTV Creative Department." OfflineTV is really just one big creative department of people who have a passion for entertainment, and our Patreon is where we have been able to share these ideas and our process with you. As we continue to shape the future of OfflineTV together, this collection is a representation of how our Patreon community has been an extension of our creative department in enabling us to chase our dreams as a content organization.
Now, it's been awhile since we started working on this. Honestly, a big struggle throughout the process has been arriving at designs that are liked by everyone equally. Amongst staff & talent, a lot of people have had different tastes and preferences as to what they'd personally like to wear. We started off with a totally different concept where we were thinking of a direction more in line with a "World Tour Collection," but after 6 rounds of designs and multiple designers, we decided to move things away from that and instead keep things simple & focused on a concept that prioritizes the meaning of our community.
Secret Apparel is meant to be something that our Patreon community can share exclusively and be united by. We have patrons from literally hundreds of cities around the world, and it's incredible to have the support of such a grand network of individuals. Up close, the back of the shirt is a dominant display of the vastness of our web; however, if you take a step back, you'll see the "Offline Television" text in Patreon colors begin to take the spotlight. We feel like this minimalistic approach does a good job of simultaneously appreciating how expansive our OfflineTV Patreon community has grown while still remaining subtle, clear, and trendy enough to commonly and proudly wear outside.
We chose to do a black-on-vintage black design for one variant and a cream base for the other. Ultimately, these won't be finalized until we receive our in-person samples - we also have to gauge how many people prefer one color/design over the other. Once we have the final lineup, we'll do a poll before production. As long as more than 100 people like a particular design, we possess the ability to make things cost effectively and bring things to fruition. Designs with less than 100 votes will just be excluded.
We chose to go with a cream off-white and a vintage black to help add some variance to all the generic white and black garments that exist out there already. The hoodie displayed above is also in vintage-black to help stay consistent with the palette. The design on the hoodie is not finished but the garment itself is developed and finalized.
Something I'm personally very passionate about and what everyone can look forward to is the quality of the organic cotton we've selected. Everything shirt will be premium, made in Portugal, and constructed from a heavyweight 240 GSM 12 oz. jersey that will be pre shrunk and oversized. This makes for a trendy and high-class garment that will stand side by side in quality & feel as the shirts of many mainstream streetwear and luxury brands; we really wanted to communicate our elevated standards for apparel through this collection, so hopefully you guys will be able to really feel this upgrade in person.
Everything is made entirely of organic cotton, grown without any chemical treatments. Our partners spend about half as much water as conventional cotton production processes, and it's also our way of aligning with doing things as sustainably as possible. We've adopted all of our sustainability practices from Sydeon's apparel drop earlier this year to make fulfillment and logistics as eco-conscious as can be.
Remember, Giga Fans will be receiving a shirt and hoodie for just the cost of shipping. The clothes themselves will be completely free. Super Fans will be able to purchase the garments at the cost it took to made them. Fans will be able to still purchase the exclusive pieces at a discounted retail price. This collection will be an extremely limited run and will never be made available to the public.
Now, before you love or hate what we've made, keep in mind that mockups can oftentimes look a bit different from the final product. We're also looking forward to seeing things in person ourselves and improving + narrowing down the choices. We'll follow up with another update as soon as things touchdown in Los Angeles. Love the effort going into this. I prefer something simpler, like print on the hoody for example. Of all the OTV merch I’ve gotten, the champion tees where we get OTV logo on it are my faves. Simple and clean designs. I wear them to K-pop concerts and conventions bc they are pretty and not overbearing. And people even came up to say “u like otv too?!” 😂 Also, I wonder how long do u have to be giga fan to get them free? Like do you have to be one at the point where u guys are done with the production? Or minimum num of months? A friend is thinking to join giga but is still on the fence so 😮💨👀
