Voyage Chapter 7: Thieving Cat

The geppo technique of the Cp09 is for losers.
Who needs some chuuni shit like superhuman arts when you can just walk on the air normally by increasing its pressure? Hell, I can literally climb on the air if I increase its pressure enough, I just have to be careful not to step into it and get my limbs crushed.
...Okay I may need to learn Rokushiki now that I think about it. Stepping on air that has nearly a ton of crushing force is not a great idea.
I was currently trying to climb onto a hill in Orange Town to get a better view of the whole place and plan my course of attack. It took me a good bit of time to find Orange Town out of the islands in the Organ Islands archipelago and then find a safe enough place to park my ship so it wouldn't plundered while I was waging war.
I didn't want to be seen just yet since the best outcome for me here was sneaking behind Buggy and hitting his ass with a full-power wind canon.
...I was under no delusion that I could kill him with a wind cannon, he can take several hits from Luffy who can hit people from a ship to an island and shatter bedrock with his raw fists. Not only that but this clowny ass could tank his own explosives that demolished multiple buildings.
So, here I was currently sitting on a small hill in Orange Town, not too high that I would get noticed by scouts. While I sat I ate the meat of the bird who fucked up the One Piece canon by being a gluttonous asshole. It tasted like granier chicken and overall not very pleasant.
"Hmm?"
For a moment I stopped chewing as I got some feedback from Nue who was flying low and scouting in my stead as he could be unsummoned and I couldn't. I told him to look out for a girl with orange hair, a man riding a big-ass lion, and a dumb man riding a unicycle. And I had the feeling that he found the girl with the orange hair from my familiar bond.
Although the communication from the familiar bond wasn't precise it was good enough to serve my goals. I noted where he was by making him fly straight up so that I could spot him before unsummoning him and starting to run towards where he showed me.
Thankfully, my cardio had gotten to levels far beyond anything I had in my previous life after working out for so long on my ship with plenty of protein. One Piece physiques were insane.
I didn't bother switching out Ozone Baby for Strength, Ozone Baby was just way better for armies and anyone who used guns.
As I waded through the desolate town with nary a soul in sight it did not take me long to find who I was looking for.
"Huh? Who the hell is that? I don't remember such a pretty guy being a part of Buggy's crew?" Aww, you flatter me, I'll make sure to hurt you less.
5 Men of varying statures stood in front of me. One tall bald man with stitches all over and a scary amount of muscle, a portly darker man, and three other men with indistinct characteristics. The thing that drew my attention was the girl slung over the fatass' shoulder.
She had bright orange hair and dark orange eyes, and despite being pre-timeskip she still had the figure of a model with big breasts and a skinny waist, her white shirt with blue stripes did little to contain her generous bust. Her eyes glimmered with hope that seemed rather conniving as she opened her mouth and shouted.
"Boss! I knew you would come back to save me! Quick, help me!"
"What he's her boss?" "Capture him too, he almost got our map stolen!"
Clever girl, she put me in a position where I had no choice but to help her, she would rather take her chances with what I would do with her if I managed to deal with them or hope that we would be locked in combat and that she could sneak out in the meanwhile.
I raised my hands placantingly while giving a disarming smile.
"Now now friends no need to get violent, how about you put the girl down first and I will share some of my treasure with you folk, how about it, a million berry for each of you gentlemen for the girl."
I saw their eyes glimmer with greed as they looked between each other, exchanging glances before nodding while rubbing their hands. The portly man threw the girl away.
"Kyah!"
"Well, she isn't running, right? She can just stay here and rest while we go retrieve your treasure right?" "Definitely good sir, the girl is on the floor so-"
I tuned their words as they approached me, instead internally calculating if she was far away from them to not get hurt. I moved slightly to the side and they followed. I nodded.
"Of course, sirs, can you just stand still for a second, I have something to show you."
They held puzzled expressions and obviously didn't stop moving, however, they were rather confused when I held my finger towards them as two translucent green spheres shimmered into existence in front of them, 4 meters in diameter each sphere back to back, the light green towards them with dark green behind it.
"Wha' the fuck is this thing?" "Wait! This may be a devil fru-!"
The smarter one among them connected the dots but not fast enough for his deduction to be worth anything as I had lowered and increased the pressures enough.
"Bang!"
BOOOOM!
"Kyahh!!!"
The only scream heard was Nami's as she was only thrown away by the turbulence while the 5 pirates were hit with the equivalent of an 18-wheeler crashing into them full speed as a 4-meter-wide blast of wind tore apart the street and sent them flying, not even letting them speak a word before they were flung away with their bones crushed to paste. Would they survive? Maybe, One Piece people were pretty darn tough sometimes. But I wouldn't put money on it.
Noticing that Nami was also flung off, and not wanting my future navigator to get brain damage by bumping her head and losing her memories I quickly swapped Ozone Baby with Strength and reached her, grabbing her by the ankle and pulling her back down, catching her in a princess carry as she looked away from my eyes and blushed, now you feel awkward huh?
"So... boss huh? You wanna work under me that badly? I can't say I would mind a pretty lady working under me but I can't remember us meeting."
She looked between me and the massive destruction I unleashed upon the street with wide eyes.
"You... was that a devil fruit? I thought those were a myth! I-I mean, sorry for throwing you under the ship there, but they couldn't do anything to you so no harm done. Right? Hey, can you release me from these ropes? We need to get away before they come to investigate."
I looked down at the Nami in my arms with a quirked eyebrow before obliging and pulling out a knife that I used to cut her bindings. She quickly hopped out of my arms with a flushed face and landed with catlike grace.
"Alright, but only because you are cute."
"Thanks! Follow me, I know where we can hide."
She started running and I followed behind her, managing to keep pace with her surprising agility with my superhuman speed as I kept an eye on the notification

Of course, I rolled it immediately, Buggy is not an obvious threat but I don't have much confidence in stopping a cannonball that can level a city block.

Sorry gacha, you don't get to shame me for this, you are the one who gave it to my hands. Although this is... well it's certainly a trait, I appreciate the infinite chaos of all reality wanting to make my journey more spicy.
I shook my head and turned my attention back to the real world, I had followed Nami to a house between the alleyways, she quickly slumped onto one of the chairs while I sat opposite of her, oh, I can see her panties from this angle, orange with white stripes, how fitting.
Being the one with meta knowledge I decided to be the one to break the ice, of course, I would have to make sure to act like I don't know anything which will be rather annoying to do but sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and eat that horse.
"So... nice house you got here. Decors a bit blander than I'd expect."
"I obviously don't live in this dump or this town in general. I just picked this one since it was out of the way. I don't think those dumbass pirates will search here. Speaking of..."
She gave me a gaze that shouted opportunist, I almost wanted to laugh if not for the fact that I was still playing clueless. I couldn't exactly call her out for trying to exploit me since I was also trying to exploit her.
"Say, you are a pretty strong guy, right? You blew away those pirates like they were flies after all. How about we team up? I'm Nami, a charming thief who steals from only Pirates. You wouldn't leave a cute girl like me alone to get attacked by pirates right? You beat em' up and I steal from them, then we split the loot. How's that sound?"
I put a hand on my chin but I couldn't pretend to not find the situation amusing.
"Hmm, that may be a little difficult, I am a pirate after all, and I wouldn't appreciate my loot getting stolen, unless you are planning to steal my heart of course, if that's the case you are already making a lot of leeway."
The smirk refused to leave my lips as I saw a spectrum of emotions flicker through Nami's face, shock and disgust at me being a pirate, embarrassment at my blatant flirting and finally contemplation.
Oh, I could see the throbber of her mind spinning. her gaze briefly darted to the window where several of Buggy's circus folk pirates were shouting about trying to find who turned 5 men into bags of mincemeat and powdered bone along a giant gash on the street.
Eventually, she seemed to make up her mind, putting her hands together and smiling brightly in a placating gesture.
"We could still work together boss! Just because you are a pirate doesn't mean you can't beat up other pirates right? Would you really leave a cute damsel like me in their hands?"
I have to say, she is very good at appealing to emotion.
I put a hand on my chin to look like I was contemplating as I slung my arm over the back of the chair and leaned back.
"Very well, I guess I can't, can I? Besides, having a thief around might be nice, you might have noticed but I am not what you would call subtle." Nami smiled and pumped her fist with a self-satisfied smirk.
"Yes! Thanks, boss, you won't regret it!"
"Hahaha..."
Let's see how long it takes for me to regret teaming up with her.
A/N: Ozone Baby is just a tad overpowered at this stage, although it is slow, it has insane versatility and power behind it. And once Yuji unlocks his second ability slot the amount of synergy it will have with Gale can't be underestimated. Buggy is gonna have a bad time.
Yuji finally meets Nami, and it's off to a... weird start. At least Yuji's unwilling investment into looks is somewhat paying off. Yuji is one handsome guy, especially in a world like One Piece where most people look like... yeah. Anyways what did you guys think about Nami?

There is no sense for him eating a devil fruit when he can get an ability from the gacha without losing his ability to swim in a world that is 90% water. Besides, its a basic zoan. The two wind based abilities will certainly cause havoc when paired together.

I think him lying would have been worse. He is using brutal honesty, if he lied it would be a betrayal of her trust which would have been worse for their relationship in the long run. Currently he can only create filled spherical zones but that doesn't mean he can't train to make it better.

Lewds for the Lewd God, Harems for the Harem Throne!!! This is pretty good so far. Loving it. Also man. I kinda wanted him to eat the devil fruit from earlier because it seemed bird theme and going harder onto the air/flight theme would be awesome. Can’t wait for the 2nd Ability Slot for the craziness of both Aero abilities. Not even big uses just using a small application of both combines into something probably super powerful/efficiently broken.

Love to see a new chapter. Looked up the first chapter on Archive and saw Nami, Robin, Nojiko and Perina pairings. Great start but I know you like a lot of pairings so hope to see more. As for the chapter, honestly he didn’t have to say he’s a pirate out of the gate. I’m all for honesty but considering Nami’s views right now he could have just said he was an adventurer and later explained that he’ll eventually get tagged as a pirate by the WG. But really that’s just a personal opinion about One Piece. The Strawhats aren’t pirates they’re adventurers that spit in the face of the law. Also something to ask about Ozone Baby. The way I see it being used he makes constructed that are filled to the brim with high and low pressure like filling a container with water. Would he be able to make a construct so that it only has this pressure at the walls and not the center so it acts like a regular barrier? If so he could trap Buggy in one with his buggy balls. It might be to intensive now but I’d see it as a nifty way to use the power. Good stuff man! Can’t wait for more!

I'm interested to see how he appeals to Nami and gets her on his side, with Luffy it was very much just his believer mentality and his will to get his dream , while also giving her opportunity for lots of gold but with Yuji I feels its not gonna be so simple
