DxD Chapter 47: The Architect

Motivation like that can only carry me so far. Don't get me wrong, I am fully capable of just sitting down and studying for a thousand hours straight without any breaks. But the only problem is volition.
Actually sitting down for a hundred hours of direct studying versus thinking you have the motivation to do it are completely different things. I only could make it 120 hours before I mentally cracked.
At least learning so much magic so fast made my magical stats basically skyrocket.
But now I just want to direct my focus to a different thing. Charge my inspiration batteries.
It may be a bit early but I really want to make this so I am making it. Spontaneous decision-making is what breeds innovation in alchemy.
I was going to make another Homunculi, while 01 is a pretty good worker having made several dozens of potions since I was gone it was not good enough. And I was visited by the fairy of inspiration.
Well, I sure as hell was not going to create every Homunculi by hand, and making machines for creating Homunculi seems like it can only go bad. So, why don't I make a homunculi that creates homunculi for me?
I know it's a big jump from creating one that barely functions as a human being but I have an idea. I have the means to do it and I have to work on creating a homunculi possessing a mind eventually. It shouldn't be too hard considering my immense processing and my near mastery in Advanced rank Mind Magic.
I do not fear them becoming deviants because 1 I was the designer of their minds and 2 I will have several seals placed on their minds and their bodies to prevent such a thing as well as a switch that puts a complete stop to their body and mind the moment it reads deviancy in their minds.
So, in my homunculus lab which was untouched by the construction I started work with Grayfia standing behind as my assistant, for some reason she wasn't nearly as opposed to acting as an assistant for my experiments as opposed to acting like an actual maid.
Maybe she actually enjoys alchemy? Don't know, don't care.
I worked on the skeleton in front of me with a Biological Transmutation circle and a Metal Transmutation Circle, I had 50% of my mind on this and 40% of the other half on working on the mind that would go inside of the homunculi.
"Grayfia, bring me two more pairs of arms from the MK VII Skeleton." Feeling no need to refuse my order Grayfia brought me two more pairs of arms from the skeletons in my closet before she had to ask.
"Why two more pairs? Aren't you trying to create a humanoid shape?" Grayfia asked me from the side, intently watching my work.
"I don't remember owing you an explanation. Maybe if you are in your best behaviour I may consider it. 3 Harp Steel ingots." I held my hand out as Grayfia quietly scoffed and handed over the bars of steel I asked for as I started imbuing the steel into the skeletal frame.
This was going to be a long and tough process.

Everything was finally in order. I just needed to finish the last step. Inserting the logic core. It was basically a brain for homunculi, but resembled more of a computer part.
It was made by painstakingly modifying a brain and fusing it with a Hyraic Crystal circuit. This was needed to make a brain capable of independent thought and self-awareness that could handle the information I would be granting with Iter Melius as well as able to handle the mind spells I had enchanted it with.
Finally, I inserted the logic core into the head of the creation and sealed its cranium up. Moments later, my creation stood up from the operation table and its feet touched on the ground as it rose to its full height.
2.3 meters tall it looked like a mix between a doll, a robot and a living being, resembling more of a puppet. It had 3 slender pairs of arms, each one being 2 meters long and tipped with long slender fingers, each one being replaceable. It also had 3 pairs of eyes and a mouth-like opening.
A form that was built completely for function rather than looks. I looked on as it took a moment to observe the surroundings, all 6 eyes darting around before they locked onto me and it bowed its head.
"Greeting my lord, I seem to be fully functional according to my self-diagnosis." A monotone muscular voice emerged from it, making me feel giddy at my seeming success. I did not program it to say that only giving it the tools needed to formulate a response like that.
It decided to say it upon considering the current situation. It had self-awareness and was seemingly capable of higher thought.
Grayfia looked on in shock and turned to me.
"Takumi... what have you created? I have never seen a creation... like this. Why not make it humanoid? And is it really sentient?" Grayfia asked both because she was supposed to keep tabs on me and because of genuine shock.
As I was thinking of what to say to her I did not need to.
"You are aware that I am also within earshot correct? If you do have inquiries about my form I am available to answer within limits." My creation turned to Grayfia while inspecting its limbs curiously, one pair of eyes locking directly onto hers.
"To answer your previous inquires, I am the Homunculus Unit designated as Architect, you can also refer to that as my name, you could also choose to shorten it to Arc as my lord would most likely choose to. My form prioritises function over form, while basic cosmetic tweaks exist this form is most optimal for the task I am created for."
He flexed every limb slowly, gauging his own body. He was clearly less interested in giving Grayfia a response and more interested in his new body.
"I suppose you can call me sentient to a degree, I am capable of independent thought, self-awareness and higher thought as well as emotions. Perhaps not quite like you. You can view it as giving an ant the same mental capabilities as a human, its priorities, thoughts and emotions would differ wildly from a man and in the same vein I am similar." Architect said coolly, its eyes still on Grayfia.
Damn.
He is so fucking cool.
I did not expect him to be so chill.

I was stunned slightly as my mental library got overhauled, with dozens of inspirations about how I could replicate the effects of my potions using my magic flooded my mind, all of a sudden the library of spells in my repertoire almost tripled in size, I just needed some time to work out and exercise with the new spells and I could cast them just fine.
Arc, you glorious bastard, you are my new luck charm. This may just be one of my best perks yet. As I retreated from my mental alcove I returned to the moment I to ask Arc a question.
"So, what are your goals for now?" I could almost hear Grayfia's silent question of 'Why wouldn't you know? Didn't you make him?'
Well, just because you cooked the meal doesn't mean you'll know if it tastes good.
"My primary directive is to follow and obey all of your orders to the best of my abilities. My secondary directive is to produce the Homunculi you order me to. My tertiary directive is to ensure the maintenance and efficiency of the laboratory. Other than that, I suppose it will fall to my judgement. My current immediate objective is creating an assistant that will be able to help me around the lab, while I can accomplish tasks by myself creating an assistant would be around 57.74372% more efficient." I smiled and nodded.
What a cool guy.
I patted him on the shoulder approvingly.
"Alright, good luck with that. If you need anything you can ask the maids, you also have access to all of my records so have fun with those." He nodded, stoically, so cool.
"I will my lord, I shall begin my work at once." Saying that he turned back and headed to work while I started leaving the awed Grayfia following behind me.
"Grayfia, follow me, I need your help with something." Grayfia wordlessly followed, she wasn't much for conversation due to her intense hatred for me.
We approached the bathroom, entering the changing room as Grayfia scowled, I started undressing, Grayfia keeping her glare trained on me, once I was buck naked without an ounce of shame barring my body I turned to Grayfia.
"Why are you still dressed? Isn't a maid supposed to help their master take a bath? Well, at least you are supposed to anyway." At this, Grayfia gave me an icy scowl.
"No." She declared with the weight of a mountain, the blush creeping up to her cheeks because of the seal but she resisted as the seal wasn't too strong since this was just disobedience and not traitorous thoughts.
"Excuse me? Did I hear you right? Did you just say no?"
Grayfia doubled down.
"As I said, I will not bathe you like a child, have one of your other maids do that, my job here is to assist you, not be your toy." I walked right up to her, how cute, trying to set limits like that like I wasn't able to force her to do basically anything I wanted to with her seal.
But that's not how you build obedience, that's how you build resentment.
"Well, if you really do not want to I won't force you I guess," I said, redressing myself as Grayfia's mouth hung open with surprise at the apparent sudden bipolar disorder I seemed to have developed in front of her.
"Goo- Iyah!" Grayfia suddenly yelped as I turned the seal way up. Did she seriously expect mercy after defying the red dragon emperor of domination?
"However, I will punish you for your rudeness and disobedience. Follow me." Grayfia scowled even harder as she grasped her skirt tightly but was forced to follow nonetheless.

"Bend over my knees. I will spank you and you will not defend yourself."
"I won- Khk~!" Grayfia nearly toppled over from the heat and arousal of the seal as I really cranked it up, I have my limited patience too you know?
"I am not hearing the 'I won't' nonsense any longer, I can make you do anything for me, I am already being courteous with you enough. Either accept your punishment or I will take my frustration out on all of your holes and then make you unable to clean it up ever." Grayfia saw the absolute seriousness in my eyes and relented.
"...Fine." Grayfia bitterly bit back on her complaint as she reluctantly lowered herself over my lap, refusing to make any more peeps, going for the full stoic ice princess mode to deter me huh?

"You are forbidden from defending yourself." I made sure to make that a rule before suddenly yanking her panties down and pulling her skirt, up baring Grayfia's milf maid ass large and plump pale ass so enticing I was almost slobbering, Grayfia might be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.

"Maybe this will make you think twice next time, as least think first." I got no response but I didn't need to as I brought my hand down on her meaty ass, making an audible smack noise ring out across the room as her ass jiggled heavily.

"Mh." Grayfia barely made a peep, it must feel like a child slapping her even though she is completely off guard. This time I used reinforcement too.

No reaction still, but even an ant can dig through a brick wall with enough time. Besides, the pain was only the secondary objective.

After a dozen slaps in her ass barely red but I saw it taking effect as suddenly.
"Hyah! What!?" Grayfia suddenly yelped and jumped up a little a little on my lap as my hand brushed against her slit. It was completely drenched, wetter than any other girl I had seen before as I licked her love juice, it tasted like vanilla.
"Oh my oh my. What is this? Are you that turned from this? What a slutty maid, and you are one to refuse a bath together while you are so turned on from a little spanking action." I teased as Grayfia fumed.

with her guard completely dropped even my slaps can affect her and actually sting her even if they don't do real damage, especially dozens in a row. Let's continue shall we?

Grayfia breathed out heavily, she was tired and spent, and her ass was a light red but more than that the source of her plight was that she had been getting edged by me for over an hour while I kept spanking her relentlessly, this would be intolerable for just about anyone really.

"Is this how you ask for mercy from your benevolent master." Grayfia shut her eyes, trembling in frustration, mental and sexual probably.
"Could you please stop spanking me...!?" Well, pushing her anymore won't really help me right now and besides, this wasn't the main dish, just the appetiser.
"Well since you so kindly asked, " Slap! Kyah! I gave one last smack to her beautiful bottom "You may get up. But you have to stand in the corner with your hands behind your back to contemplate your actions. Also no healing your ass."
Grayfia got off my lap and fumed as she heard the new order but begrudgingly said yes to avoid having to deal with even more spankings. This kind of punishment was to hurt the pride, not the body, and being put in the corner like a naughty child will do wonders in that.
As she went up to the corner I pocketed her white bland panties she probably chose purposefully for me.
"By the way Grayfia, as punishment, you are now forbidden from wearing underwear in this mansion."
"You... bastard...!"
I smirked.
"What was that? You want more spankings?"
That shut her up.
I purposefully avoided finishing her off, letting her stay frustrated. I did this for a very specific reason. One of the crucial steps of the maid training plan.
Oh, Grayfia is just going to love it when she discovers that feature of my seal.
A/N: I may have made this chapter a little longer but you guys can think of it as a little treat.
The homunculi army plan has made a massive jump in progress suddenly, the assembly line came before even the third homunculi has been made. Also, Takumi can create even debatably sentient creations now, how... godlike. Also, that perk will pay off massively.
Takumi is taking things slow and steady with Grayfia, after all, he has 10 entire years to make her submit to him, this whole arrangement is move about forcing Grayfia under him than it is for him to take petty revenge on her(although that is definitely the second biggest reason)

That Gear seems way too good to just be a god killer. My guess is Apotheosis at some point. Probably even Big G’s successor. I like the Grayfia angle. It’s always nice to see her fall for the MC. We all already knew she’s willing in canon with that move on Issei in the bath. Looking forward to more

This chapter is. Starting to confirm my thoughts that his sacred gear might have been created as a sort of successor to god himself, either that or it’s starting to improve itself due to it being made from gods power, that might mean it’s starting to take that power and build it back up

I like his rise in power and the alchemy things. But I don't like the big deal with Grayfia. She has Sirzechs. I don't mind him putting her in her place being his maid for a long time after the disrespect, but the other bits i don't really like. So i'm not sure if i'll drop this story or not. I just think there's better ways to get revenge then try to do what he's doing to Grayfia. Sirzechs isn't an idiot and that high on world's strongest for show, I can't see them not knowing what he's trying to do.
