Upcoming pieces, and plans, and truths.
🕑 Added 2023-01-07 05:04:42 +0000 UTCI've been doing a lot of introspection, and realized certain flaws with the way I approached handling this Patreon (and my artwork in general). For the last few years I've put this subtle pressure myself to find a balance between works that I enjoyed doing, and works that I felt would earn me more attention.
Never mind the fact that I don't put enough effort into my socials to even earn the extra attention anyway, but the net result of this is I end up starting pieces that seem "easy" to do, but I quickly lose interest in, and thus don't work on them consistently enough to push them out at a fast pace. And because I don't work on them consistently, at some point it becomes do or die, where I feel the need to just "finish the damn piece and move on", which is a terrible way to approach your passion, but also getting better at the craft.
The thing is, my best pieces (both artistically and financially) have always been the ones I did just for my own sake, not because I thought it would be easy or do well on socials or whatever. That's where my best, most novel ideas come out, and the ones that I think play out the best.
So, moving forward I'm focusing solely on the projects that speak to me the most. So there's going to be a whooole lot of cuckolding/femdom, mixed with some high quality fantasy/cyber stuff. I will also be doing concept sketches and soliciting more feedback from you guys. Art as a craft can be very lonely, and I think adopting a more collaborative mindset not just with patrons, but with other artists as well, will lead to better things.
Furthermore, and this is a very important one: most of my works going forward will have a finely honed caption/story behind them. Again, most of my best works had a very strong story element (blond cuckolding pieces, Dystopian pieces, etc...) that I really took my time to think about.
The next upcoming piece I'm working on has a somewhat extreme femdom/cuckold/humiliation story that will have a written caption for the cuck's internal monologue, and I'm going to try to source a voice role for the wife's speech. Something I also want to try is for the public facing caption, it will have a truncated (piece of the story) portion of the story, and the full expanded caption will be a benefit for patrons, and I will try to incorporate clever ideas into this dissection between public and premium.

Thank you for the comment. It's been so long since I did that comic I almost forgot I even did it. I think a big chunk of why I deviated from doing those is because coming up with with great stories is daunting and requires a lot of scratched out paper and trial and error. Because I was afraid of this and didn't want to accept this was something I was "bad at". I tried to convince myself it was a better idea to do simpler pieces, but what I realized is you're gonna be bad at everything you don't practice. Struggling with your work is a natural part of the creative process and I've recently accepted that banging my head against the wall is all part of the job.
