ARCADIA 15
🕑 Added 2022-04-20 18:01:01 +0000 UTCYo MCDM Patrons,
This is the James Introcaso. I am here to rain digital copies ARCADIA 15 upon you like the Philly Phanatic with a hot dog cannon. Let’s take a peek at the insides of this issue.
Cover Art by Zuzanna Wuzyk
Zuzanna’s art is S-tier, which is why her illustrations regularly grace ARCADIA’s pages, and this time she’s crushed the cover! This is some mind-bending art that inspires a million campaign ideas in my brain. I love seeing how each line leads from one feature to the next, all converging on the figure at the center. This art is as delicious as a roast pork sandwich from Tommy DiNic’s.
Embrace the Flesh by Basheer Ghouse
Inspired by Carrion, Prototype, and Venom, the Way of the Flesh monastic tradition teaches a monk to shape their flesh into long-reaching tendrils that can grapple enemies and allow them to swing from rooftops and twist like a Philly soft pretzel. By recognizing that one’s body is just a vessel for the soul, these monks can absorb their enemies’ flesh to gain their appearance and memories. This article includes an NPC and a retainer stat block and an encounter with a monk of the flesh. Patrik Hell drew the evocative art in this article, and Miska Fredman expertly crafted the encounter map!
Nightmare Dragon by Alex Clippinger
Imagine living your worst nightmare … and now picture the force that created it! Nightmare dragons are progenitors of terror, feeding on the fright of victims whose dreams they twist nightly in the Astral Plane. This challenge rating 24 dragon comes with a stat block, lair actions, plot hooks, and plans. They inspire more fear than Gritty with a cake. The killer art in this article comes from Henrik Rosenborg and Faizal Fikri.
What They Know May Hurt You by Marcello De Velazquez
When it comes to learning the location of buried treasure, the secret weakness of a villain, the long-lost heir to the throne, or simply the next adventure, NPC informants are worth their weight in Jim’s cheesesteaks. This article presents three new NPC informants ready to give your characters the information they need … for a price! Gustavo Pelissari worked the magic that made the art in this article.

FAQs
Q: How long will I be able to download the ARCADIA PDF attached to this post?
A: Indefinitely. Though this wasn’t the case at launch, our policy has changed. All issues of ARCADIA remain attached to their launch posts. You can read more about it here.
Q: I know someone who wants to get a copy of ARCADIA, but they don't want to use Patreon. Is there somewhere else they can get it?
A: Definitely, and we understand! That's why, when we post the current issue of ARCADIA to Patreon, we add it to the MCDM Shop at the same time :D. On the MCDM Shop an issue of ARCADIA is $12.
Q: I want to submit an article for ARCADIA. How do I do that?
A: Thanks for your interest, but we currently don’t accept open submissions — you can check out this post to learn more about how we source articles for ARCADIA.
Q: What is this... an FAQ for ANTS? I have a question and it's not one of the ones listed here!
A: Oh no! D: If you need help with anything MCDM-related, email our support inbox (hello@mcdmproductions.com) and we'll respond as soon as we can. We're looking forward to reaching the point where we can bring on a dedicated support team member to help everyone lickety-split, but until we get there we try to check for new messages every week or two. We've got many tools at our disposal, so rest assured that when you hear back from us we will do everything we can to make sure you're taken care of! :)

Great stuff as ever, one thing I noticed, the nightmare Dragon has a Legendary Action called Detect. All legendary dragons have it but none of them should. There is never a circumstance when it makes sense given the drago's Blindsight/ Truesight and Passive Perception.
Simon Baumgart
It'd be interesting to see more puzzles/traps/riddles in some of the future issues! Love the monk in this one!
Craig Bounous
Forgive my ignorance if this is a common question, new here; do you have Arcadia's awesome new monsters/items/etc coded for Fantasy Grounds (FGU) anywhere?
bl00dywelld0ne
Dragon Magazine? What's that?
Alorix
The Embrace the Flesh sounds like the coolest thing EVER!
Commodore Blood Werthington
Way more than two. In the first two lines, there's a Rocky and a Phanatic link. Each article also has one - pretzels, pork sandwiches, and Jim's cheesesteaks. And lest we forget, Gritty, first of his name. Everyone knows Dalessandro's is better than Jim's, Mr. Introcaso. Get it together. (much love from this Philly native)
Vincent Nicosia
Great stuff as always MCDM crew but James... two philly references in one post? Are you a native of my city??? Lmao
Art Ross
Link game is strong! Love it

I'm really enjoying the concept of the Nightmare Dragon, definitely something that I'd look to use!
The Sovereign Psiocrat
From just reading it, it seems to be focused on mobility even more so than the standard monk as well as a more infiltrator playstyle. I think it was made to match the fantasy of being "The Thing" or the creature from the game "Carrion" one of which is referenced in the document (Still very surprised The Thing is not referenced). I think it delivers on those ideas and themes well.

Don't know what the reason for the subclass is... it's just seams all over the place ... but I haven't played with it yet so I'm not saying it's bad or anything. Just don't see what role it fills ..if anyone has played or any idea comment please
John Sikking
Liking the Philly love! It's was like Sarcone's bread was to a Chickie’s Hoagie - a match made in heaven that has not yet been repeated. ;)
Ryan Treanor
I think this is my favourite cover art yet. Content sounds great to :)

Philly doesn't haunt. It announces itself loudly, asks "d'jeetyet?" while looking through your fridge, and then boos you for not having any black chery wishniak to drink.
Squizzie Squizzerton
I'm getting the feeling that this issue is going to flip-turn my life upside down!
Jacob Blalock
So...if I understand you correctly...The Philadelphia Eagles are an NFL team...so the rivals in Flee, Mortals! will be based on Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit?
James Introcaso
Since there's some confusion, all the Philly references are just me having fun. I'm from the area! There is no other hidden meaning. Sorry for the confusion.
Craig Chouraki-Lewin
What. What is happening here. Why is my hometown come now to haunt me. Introcasso, what is your ploy?
Gawayne
Hotdog video made me laugh. Thank James. Poor pig though
Jacob Montague
Why all the Philly references? Am I missing an inside joke?
Starrmont
I think James is hungry.
Tankylosaur
Yo, indeed. Arcadia 15 is pure fire. This jawn so hot, I need a wooder-ice just to cool down.
