ARCADIA 17
🕑 Added 2022-06-29 18:01:01 +0000 UTCHey Hey MCDM Patrons,
It is I, your James Introcaso, back with a lovely new issue of ARCADIA. Let’s take alittle look inside issue 17.
Cover Art by Grace Cheung
Legendary MCDM staff artist Grace Cheung delivers one of the best ARCADIA covers to date. This cover has more action than Todd McFarlane’s Spider-Man run. I have got to get me one of those undead mounts. Hopefully that big sword is included!
Slopengrimer's Guide to Visco City by Jon Aldric with art from Patrik Hell
Moira Slopengrimer brings you through the sewers beyond the lair of serumous hag into the underground ooze-opolis of Visco City. This bustling city is filled with new Oozes and magic items for sale … just make sure you don't piss off the Regigoo. Check out this goo-nique adventure location.
Unorthodox Win Conditions by Leon Barilarro with art from Miska Fredman
Not every battle is a fight to the last hit point. Sometimes its about finding the real enemy amid a crowd of bewitched hostiles. Other times you need to defend a True Elf while they perform a ritual to get their mojo back. Or maybe you find yourself playing a lethal game of Treasure Run inside the lair of a big, ol' blue dragon. Get three awesome encounters that have exactly what the title promises in this article.
Divine Trials: Glory of the Sun by Sadie Lowry and Amber Litke with art from Miska Fredman and Zuzanna Wuzyk
This is the first in a three-article adventure series! Each divine trial takes place in a short, unique dungeon meant to test the heroic mettle of 5th-level characters! In the Sun Trial, characters better check their ego and hubris at the door or get burned like Icarus by the divine arbiter running the place. That's not always easy, especially when there are treasures to be claimed by bragging and showing off!

FAQs
Q: How long will I be able to download the ARCADIA PDF attached to this post?
A: Indefinitely. Though this wasn’t the case at launch, our policy has changed. All issues of ARCADIA remain attached to their launch posts. You can read more about it here.
Q: I know someone who wants to get a copy of ARCADIA, but they don't want to use Patreon. Is there somewhere else they can get it?
A: Definitely, and we understand! That's why, when we post the current issue of ARCADIA to Patreon, we add it to the MCDM Shop at the same time :D. On the MCDM Shop an issue of ARCADIA is $12.
Q: I want to submit an article for ARCADIA. How do I do that?
A: Thanks for your interest, but we currently don’t accept open submissions — you can check out this post to learn more about how we source articles for ARCADIA.
Q: What is this... an FAQ for ANTS? I have a question and it's not one of the ones listed here!
A: Oh no! D: If you need help with anything MCDM-related, email our support inbox (hello@mcdmproductions.com) and we'll respond as soon as we can. We're looking forward to reaching the point where we can bring on a dedicated support team member to help everyone lickety-split, but until we get there we try to check for new messages every week or two. We've got many tools at our disposal, so rest assured that when you hear back from us we will do everything we can to make sure you're taken care of! :)

James is going out on a great issue! Very excited for you and Hannah to focus on your strengths to make MCDM even better. Arcadia and Flee Mortals are both going to flourish, and i love seeing MCDM's growth!

As a kid, when I would go to the grocery store with my mom, I waited impatiently until we finally circled around to the registers, where the magazine racks were (because I wasn't allowed to go by myself), and I would sprint over and feverishly scan the titles, looking for the latest issue of Mad Magazine. Usually there was nothing new, but every few weeks there it was, and it made me so happy to hold it in my hands and flip through as we stood at the register. Every issue of Arcadia makes me feel something like this.

They've mentioned in the past that they allow the artist you sell copies of their cover art on their website so you'll have to see if they put it on there or not

Gonna carve into this when I get home🤩 I’ve gotta ask, where can we get high resolution images of these covers⁉️ I guess I could try saving from the PDF but, perhaps these lovely artists made covers without text? Not that it takes away from the piece, just curious.

I have been anxiously waiting for this!
