I think this art does a good job of showing the difference between the two. Both are badass!

To be fair, there's not actually any particular reason why your elementalist can't wear armor. They just don't gain the kit benefit. I'd argue that a hero wearing armor just because it looks cool and not because it gives a tangible combat benefit fits right in with the fantasy for Draw Steel.

Yes. Wode elves have greyish skin it seems and those big bat ears. You can also see them on the iconic shadow art

The Elementalist Enchantment of Battle allows for light weapons and armor even though you don't have a kit!

Are there in game analogs for these arts? Currently, the elementalist cannot use kits, but this earth elementalist is clearly quite armored and armed!
