MCDM Mini Monday 009
🕑 Added 2025-02-17 21:05:15 +0000 UTC
We're going to change things up a bit next month and start doing two minis around the middle of the month in a single post, but for this month we have Telcezalco XVIII this week and next week we are going to have a mini from last years Hobgoblins, Kobolds, & Goblin Too! crowdfunder.
Our mini this week mini was sculpted by Alfonso Prieto as part of the Kingdoms & Warfare Kickstarter a few years ago and we are lucky to have an amazing painted version courtesy of Zachary Madere.
As always, if you are not into 3D printing and want a professionally produced cast of this mini, Trenchworx has a few in stock and if you do print out your own minis, send us a few photos at hello@mcdmproductions.com or share them in the Discord.

I just saw numbers and didn't mind too much. That, and already having a vague understanding that the number is generally only incremented when rulers share a 'first' name.

I remember when this lore was first dropped and it took a while for people to wrap their head around the fact the 18th Telcezalco (XVIII) was the 28th ruler (XXVIII). It wasn't a typo

thanks for the link ! I got it. I realise it was just not in the Mini Mondday patreon collection. BTW, the v2 file in this post gives an error : https://www.patreon.com/posts/mcdm-mini-monday-115378236

I have printed a couple of MCDM minis using fdm. I use a 0.2mm nozzle and and pretty much as slow as it can go. Most of them turn out fine (for my taste anyway). Sometimes you need to tinker a bit with orientation. In last weeks post (I think) you can see my printing of feathers the owlbear.

We have messed around a bit on the K2 in the office, but some of these models are less friendly than others. If you scale it up and bit and use the separate pieces you can get decent results. Check out the Groyle post for a photo of the result we got with that mini.

Has anyone tried printing these with an FDM printer? I’ve had success printing other minis but haven’t tried with these
