Playtest: The Beastheart for Draw Steel

You might remember a few years ago when we released Beastheart and Monstrous Companions for fifth edition. A lot of what is in that class actually helped us develop the idea for heroic resources in Draw Steel.
Well hold onto your butts, because the great Paul Hughes has just unleashed a new version of the class that's more heroic and cinematic for Draw Steel. This is a totally new version of the hero and companion class built from the ground up for a totally new game. If you're familiar with the beastheart of fifth edition, we'd ask you to put any expectations you have from the old class aside and evaluate this one as a Draw Steel class.

You can feel free to share this survey with anyone who helped playtest the beastheart, including people who are not members of this Patreon.
You have until Monday October 20th at 8AM Eastern US time to get us your feedback. Please only fill out this survey once. The deadline has passed and the survey is now closed.
As a heads up, this hasn't yet been through editing. You'll likely find some typos and wording that could be a little more clear. You don't need to give us feedback on that. We have editors who will do it for us! You just let us know how it plays at your table and if it's fun or not.

No, they are class-exclusive like Stormwight kits for example. The kit feature could be a little more explicit about this (and should have a unique name), but they are also clearly much stronger than normal kits.

At first I was like why do we need separate/new Kits but they were great the only problem is that I see no Long like mid-range long Lance, Pollarm, Billhook, or spear based Kits adding more mid range Att distance options apart from the Whirlwind. Long Pollarms or spears are perfect on the back of a Mount and used for centuries as the counter against mounted combatants and wild beasts such a the Boar 🐗 spear.

I think this is from Gustavo Pelissari, he drew the orcs in flee mortals, and some of the Arcadia covers and the cover for kingdoms and warfare

It makes sense that its limited , the animals are already kit-like. But it would be really cool to have a dm Sidebar on what tweaks to make a normal kit be vaugely balanced for beastheart🤔

I love the structure of this, but it could really do with two more Kits. 4 that line straight up with the subclasses is just a bit too restrictive.
