A small line you might have missed in episode 2 was "You perform alchemy just like teacher!" that Al says to Ed after he does his first alchemy without a circle.

The first 14 episodes from the original "Full Metal Alchemist" the non brotherhood version are cannon, but then they didn't have a manga to follow after the 25th episode and it ran off the rails. This FMAB has some character scenes that make more senes if you've seen the other animes first 14 episodes. It won't impact the overall story. They just spent more time on Ed/Al's journey Before Ed becomes a state alchemist. It covers a lot of time between their mothers death and Ed going into the military. It's completely cannon up to episode 25, but that would spoil a bunch of this animne. Sadly there is no easy way to blend the two but i'm sure some fan out there has an insane guide to make it make the most sense.

43:56, even tho u got it backwards, i think its still correct, bc thats how their minds work, so why wouldnt we be the same, so i think it does go both ways also, im not sure if anyone said b4, but the middle of the episode where you get different character cards where the narrorator says: Fullmetal Alchemist are title ad break cards, for when they cut to commercials but also to state what you were watching, incase you tuned in halfway

I can't express enough how happy I am that you react to this show. Whenever you reacted to Death Note I couldn't stop thinking ''man I wish so much he would watch FMAB, that would be an incredible journey'' and thought there was 0% chance you would ever watch it. And here we are 2 months later and you are watching it! Unreal hype.

What gets me about Tucker is this, obviously any human experiments. Absolutely horrible like that, but he literally could have picked up some stranger off the streets. He had so many options that would have required just a little bit of work, that still would have been evil, but wouldn't have been his own Daughter.

i can't even begin to say how excited I am to watch you go through this show, I'm willing to bet it will be one of your top all time favorites and the opening theme songs will get stuck in your head eventually :P there's a TON of religious/gnostic/occult/esoteric references and information scattered throughout the show, definitely worth looking into while watching fullmetal in order to better understand some of the references and things going on throughout the show. as someone with a biblical background there's one certain group of characters you'll understand almost immediately but I won't spoil it, you'll understand as more of them are introduced. also, most people refer to the show by its full name or FMAB because this is a remake of the original show that came out a few years before but the ending got botched, the manga (the original story, japanese comic style) was still being written when the original fullmetal alchemist anime came out and the anime caught up to the original story, but instead of going on a hiatus to wait for the original story to end so they could get the story right the studio made their own ending + a movie to expand on the ending (conqueror of shambala) it's not awful but fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is the remake that follows the original story more accurately to the end.
