I think you missed the point of the call Walt made at the end of episode 14. He was shifting the blame to himself with the DEA listening. He was clearing Skylers name, not asserting his dominance

walt knew the police were there so he put all the blame on himself so skyler and jr weren’t in that mess. there is a reason why this is the only 10/10 episode ever, brilliant writing.

I do see that now…BUT…everyone at Patreon I’m sure by now knows how unhappy I am with Walt because he HAS TO BE the hero and he HAS TO make it about him, because he’s the one who created all of this and then wants to play the hero rescuing Skylar and his family at the end😩 I can feel a livestream coming to talk about this show!!😁

Hank and Gomie being dumped into that hole and Walt deliberately pointing Jesse out but the way he spoke about watching Jane die is gut-wrenching. I believe Walt knew the police were already there (as Jr. called them) so his phone call and the way he was talking in such a way to spare Skylar and Jr. from being implicated with him. He couldn't stand hearing Holly wanting her mother and how manipulative, power-driven and the horrible coward he truly is. That's why he left Holly at the fire station. I rarely comment but I really enjoy watching shows and getting your input Tom, especially for Breaking Bad on the therapist point of view. I love being apart of this awesome community!

No no you misunderstand walts anger on the phone while the police listened. He was almost crying while trying to sound angry he was offering skyler a way out of all of this otherwise they would arrest her too. He was taking the blame for all of it and made it sound like Skyler had no choice but to help him.
