There has been other hints I think: -like Marline emphasising with Will squashing his ball in the splits at the end of their victory while other female team members did not pick this up -When they knew their Aunts would come when they claimed to have found a man they wanted to marry because they would know something was definitely up as it was way out character for them (which make sense if they were secretly a male) -Their reaction and opinion on the Queen’s looks was very masculine behaviour. -The AI art for Marline looks suspiciously like a trap with the way the chest is toned

With exceptions (like the Instructor), I'm pretty sure he (George, inhabiting William's body) sees all of them as kids. Plus with bigger plans on his mind, it doesn't enter into the equation. I'm sure he doesn't mind the view, but feels no call to action. At least, that is how I've read the character.
