Saturday Update!

Last week was another slightly difficult one for me- mostly due to a heatwave in my area π I've been managing to stay cool with wet cloths and fans but it's been very hard to sleep and I've just been SO tired because of the heat and insomnia.
I also had more personal life stuff come up, some extended family visited my town for a couple days, I had to scramble to get insurance for the condo I'm purchasing because I didn't know that was a prerequisite [ π ] and I tried to go to the bank yesterday to obtain a bank draft only to find out that the one time I physically go to a bank in like 5 years, the globe is having the biggest tech meltdown known to man π so I guess I'll just try that again today!
ANYWAY, I did still manage to get a complete set of sprites done- this one is called 'grabbing' and it is VERY closeup LMAO

The first thing I can say about this new sprite set is that I made some pretty drastic changes to the placeholders LMAO
The placeholders [ I'm using plural here because this set is separate bodies and heads for mix n' match purposes ] are relatively fun and intense, but his hair is much too limp and the arms are up too high. Got a bit of a jumping jack vibe going on here that doesn't work LMAO
So I redrew the body and blew up other completed sprites that I really liked to remodel the hair/face into something that's more consistent with the rest of the game.
I left the front/middle dark shading though of course- I think that really helps with the 'too close' feeling.
I think that's about all I can show with getting too spoilery though haha!
It's a short and sweet update this time! The heatwave will continue for another week [ rip in piss, me ] but I will continue to do my best!!

Gato,i know this is a weird place to send you a message,but is there any chance you might tell us your writing process for the games and the multiple endings one day? I'm trying to write my own visual novel and that would be really helpful. Its okay if you would prefer not to,of course. Have a good week.

Died of the heat and running around to pharmacies and the therapist over the weekend, so missed such a delicious update.... I love the way the frames look and, hell, with every spoiler it already feels like the game will evoke a "WOW" emotion because of the rendering of the backgrounds and all the sprites have a good weekdays!!!
