Saturday Update!

This update is a bit low on sprites again, I'm sorry about this ^^; I had more appointments and reno stuff to deal with last week. I have more next week as well. I also got a 'fun' little surprise from the tax agency and that caused a little panic attack but I think I've managed to handle it. Universe above and below, deliver me from emails and phone calls.
I won't get too much into it though because I don't want to spend all of my updates complaining about my personal life.
Let's talk sprites instead!
Last week I completed 3 small sets of sprites [ when I say 'set', I'm usually referring to one base with different expression variants ]. I can show you examples of two of them but the other one is too spoilery.
First was another Ren! [ Strade's there too but I drew that sprite earlier ]:
The other set I did is a 'larger than screen' sprite, I use these when I want to move the camera around:
MC's legs are pretty hard to see in the gif [ and the game tbh ] so I might tweak visuals later. I plan to make some changes in how the background behaves later though so I think I should do that first and see what effect it has.
All that will happen during the music editing pass I think. For now, I'm going to keep concentrating on finalizing sprites because it's honestly all I can mentally handle during this part of my life π

Yup! That's exactly right. I've written the script in a similar way as my original BTD paths, where the gender of MC [ and most physical characteristics ] are left up to the imagination. The only reason there's no pronoun selection screen this time is because those are only used verbally when a character is talking about you to another character, and that just doesn't come up often enough for me to bother programming the system for it [ ren and strade very rarely appear together ]

man I really love these updates π₯Ή and I would like to ask a question Gato, I don't intend it to sound weird, but does MC in YKMET have a certain gender? I remember in TPOF you could choose pronouns, but I guess in this one they won't be available. does it mean that the gender of MC is not specific and up to the player's imagination?
