For the amount of people I need, running tests on each one would be pretty unfeasible. I'd want something in the ballpark of 200-300 people for thorough testing. I think the most technologically simple ways to do it would be to open a new patreon tier for beta testing with limited space that gets connected to a discord.

Would you do alpha testing again? sorta? like a private discord chat(that gets deleted after) with people you maybe put through tests so each person has specific types of issues they hunt for or something? idk, just throwing ideas around on a really woozy tired sunday lol

I would say it's not really because there's more routes. There's a lot of images now because of how I'm choosing to tell the story- with more changing sprites to hopefully feel more immersive.

Way earlier in the project, I was planning to have it be an open beta for all patreon members, but now I'm worrying if that's ending up to be too many people [ which would make it hard for me to sort through bug reports and possibly create other problems ] So I'm trying to figure out what I'll do

Hey, it's really hard to prepare for financial surprises! And sometimes when it comes to costs, when it rains it pours. ps: i don't know if you remember this at all, but a few years back, i requested art of lawrence with a high pony tail through your tumblr ask box. i remember that so clearly and i wanted to let you know that seeing your response literally made me so, so happy. it's something that i think about super often. i just wanted to tell you that so that you can know the little things you do really have a positive impact on people, so imagine how much people appreciate the huge things you're doing now. you've grown so much since the first game, and i've loved watching your journey the whole time
