Life's A Bit (First Voice Note)
🕑 Added 2022-09-23 16:00:15 +0000 UTCSo here's the first ever voice note that I ever recorded for Life's A Bit. It was recorded on 7th January 2020 which was exactly a year after I got top surgery (which isn't relevant but I thought it was a cool date fact).
I usually start off songs with a melody like I did for this voice note and then I shove in words that I think work. Clearly I had not thought of the phrase "Lifes a bit batshit" yet which is funny because I misremember that being the phrase that started off the writing process so RIP me I guess. Life was in fact a bit batshit.
I looked in my camera roll to see what I was doing on this day and I just found a selfie of me in the bath so.

This is actually a tool many seasoned artist use, knowing a melody but haven't figured out the lyrics yet, just singing in a jibberish-like sound to get a feel for what fits. I'm glad you saved everything.
