I actually thought this a clever use of a ‘walk’ back to where the fight began. Giving both Nate and Kiri a quick check in with each other , and a peek at their stats etc. instead of ‘they walked back to the Princess and Aisling.

Honestly, I had the same thought that in a book it could be overlooked. Perhaps just be thought of as odd pacing, if noticed at all? You could view it as a quick breather between two scenes of intensity. It's harder to analyse in a serial context. Everything is slowed down in a way a book wouldn't. I'm often frustrated with authors who pander to the serialised format with over-abundant cliffs, that I can't help but feel would read very weirdly in book form. Difficult to judge.

Thanks for the chapter. I was wondering where this random "feeling" thing was going... looks like it might be the first step on the way to the tier past Mythic.... Divine? Part of me is almost hoping there's 2 tiers past Mythic.... like a Demi-God step before Divine? Just seems odd the whole world would be able to crack so close to the pinnacle if Mythic really is the second highest tier possible. Maybe Celestial... then Divine? I dunno, I suck at names lol

I agree with both thoughts in this thread... I think the "numbers go up" chapter could've waited till after this night was settled, but also I think Felix is correct, if it was a complete book, it would seems little oddly placed, but ultimately not be a big deal. I'd maybe adjust the order for publication if its easy enough to do via editing.

I dont think etwas that Bad, if this was a whole book it wouldnt feel so out of place

Gotta +1 this, was a bit ill timed.

Have to admit a mild frustration that the chapter focused on background lore and character development, plus stats stuff, when the more interesting post fight events are hanging there, ripe for some key plot revelations. I generally like the world building, and I'd be critical of any author who's writing litrpg and ignores the "numbers go up" bit; but it just feels like the wrong priorities considering the circumstances. Makes a chapter feel a bit empty and meandering, when it truly wasn't. Just a thought 💭
