Great episode! I love these “off topic” ones. As an academic who is both 1)the underpaid labor Tyler was talking about and 2)a professor/educator who is doing everything in my power (and believe me the universities aren’t helping in this at all), to promote literacy and critical thinking, this was exactly the episode I needed before the start of the semester. It can seem like the reliance on AI happened quickly but really it’s years in the making so it’s not surprising but what is wild is how much people are in denial about its harmful impacts.
