Hey BG, I'm still experiencing the same problem I had before, to where I open the game, but nothing pops up. I did the terminal instructions right, and I restarted it again and again like you said, but it didnt work. do you know any other fix?

I did all steps in the Video and all steps from here also tryed anything from the comments. Its still not opening... even after trying to open it more then 20 times. Something seems to be just wrong. Maybe something with ''nwjs'' ? (Idk what this is but looks weird)

Hi ER! You may need to try opening the app a few times until it actually works. The latest "Sonoma" has an issue like that, where you have to try a few times for it to open for some reason. Let us know if that works. Cheers =)

I did all the terminal thingy and it worked, but when I open the game, nothing pops up; not even a black screen on anything. I haven't had this problem with previous versions, and I have a Mac book Air.

Hi CS! The save files are located within the app file. You need to right click the app file and it should show you an option like "Show Contents" afterwards you should find the save folder in there. I can't remember the exact location (and I don't have access to a Mac computer right now), but it should be something like: Contents/Resources/app.nw/save/ . Let me know if you can't find it or if you need further help. Cheers =)

Sorry for the late reply! But I redownloaded it and did the whole terminal process again, but the game still crashes before getting to the menu

I can start the game but within a few minutes, it crashes. and this is the only release I've downloaded with this laptop.

Hi J! Sorry to hear that. From what I understand, the game does start, but crashes while you're playing, right? We will need some additional information to figure out what's going on. - Did you have no issues with the previous releases of the game? - How often are these crashes? Did you notice that it crashes during certain events within the game or are they completely random? - Would it be possible for you to tell us which Mac you own or if possible give us your hardware specs? so I did everything in the terminal and moved it to applications. But now when I open it, the game randomly crashes and closes

Ah now we're getting somewhere =) Now enter this command: chmod -R +x SchoolofLust.app If that doesn't show any error messages, close the terminal and go back to the folder where you've downloaded School of Lust. Move the SchoolofLust app (not the folder!) to your Applications folder and run the game from your Applications folder.

Hmmm, that's weird. The above guide was made in an old version of macOS, so maybe things have changed. We need to somehow find the directory the game folder is located at inside the Terminal (when you first launch the Terminal). Normally this would be the "Users" folder, but I'm not sure why it can't find the Downloads folder for you. Are you on an English macOS? I'm wondering if the Downloads folder might be called something else on a different language macOS. Can you please try entering the command "ls" (without quotes) inside the Terminal? This will list you the folders (and files) that are currently there. Does it not show the "Downloads" folder there? Also, can you enter the command "pwd" inside the Terminal. Does this show /Users/yourusername/ ? Thank you in advance! Cheers =)

Made sure i opened it in downloads, every time I typed cd Downloads and click enter it tells me “ no such file or directory “

You need to find the location of where you downloaded and unzipped the game first in your Terminal. It would be best to place the game in your "Downloads" folder, make sure to extract it and then in the terminal enter the following: cd Downloads This will look like this: https://bonergames.com/p/user/terminal.jpg

I still have the same problem as a year ago. I get the loading screen, then the warning screen, the two Play and Exit buttons, click on play and then there's the model depiction screen, then the alpha release screen, followed by the Boner Logo screen. The arrow is the boner arrow, and I do need to click on the beginning screens, and click on play to advance from screen to screen. but after the Boner Logo screen, the opening screen with the menu doesn't come up. I've let it load up on it's own, but I do need to click on play to get it to advance. I still don't know what the problem is. The loading occurs at the very beginning, and after it's loaded, there shouldn't be a delay because the program is still loading, right? I did let it run without clicking, except for the play button. it went through it's screens like normal but for the first time ever I got a loading screen again. Except next t the word loading the "little friend" which usually went up and down, was flaccid.not moving at all. Maybe there's something not loading, or maybe it's caught on something after the Boner logo, but before the menu screen. I hope this can be fixed. Yup, tried it again. Get the boner logo, the 'little friend' goes up once, and then stops, and the music plays.

I don't know. You see, when I can't see the opening screen, I can't click on "New Game", Without clicking on new game, Which I don't think I'm able to do, as the the music never changes, and I don't know if I"m even able to click on the "New Game" button because I can't see it.

Yup, the game starts up, it goes through the pages until I see the silhouette of the woman, and then... nothing except hearing the music. I don't know if there's going to be a opening screen or not. But I do thank you for your response.

Hey Boner, you're last download downloads as School of Lust v0.6.0p1c, but when it downloads, it's labeled as School of Lust Mac 0 and nothing else. Will that give me any problems when I'm trying to get what needs to go into the Applications folder. Looks like it decompressed the zip file. So I didn't have to.

I've stumbled across an interesting error, everything loads up and i can click through the 'are you 18+ screen, but then it just goes straight to a black screen. I waited for a couple minutes and still nothing.

Forgive me I got it figured out. The entire time I had already jumped ahead placing the application within the folder into applications BEFORE using the terminal commands. Hence why it was not found within downloads. I got everything downloaded again from scratch and renamed the file to what was shown on here and it looked exactly as the photo depicted on this website. I then followed everything step by step and now its up and running. Nonetheless thank you so much for the patience and support.

Ok when I am using the terminal I get to the step where I need to input command: chmod -R +x SchoolofLust.app. When typing that in the response i get is: "chmod SchoolofLust.app: No such file or directory

I recently downloaded this but cannot get it to run. I have a MacBook Air and even tried this process of coding for what seems to be for another Mac. I had no success so I am currently trying to re-download. I checked for other updates or further instruction on how to solve this and nothing has worked. I even moved the game into the applications folder and still got the window: "The application "School of Lust" can't be opened." Is there something else I can do?

Hi PO! Sorry, I completely missed your previous reply. Did you already try moving the SchoolofLust app file to your Applications folder and see if the game runs from there? If you did, can you try right clicking the app and trying to open it from the right click menu? The reason for this is so it will bypass the safety precaution. Let us know if that still doesn't work. I still can't get this game to work. I was playing on gamcore and still supporting you but then got frustrated as it would be better to to play with it downloaded to my computer. But for some reason this still doesn't work no matter how many ways I've tried. Frustrating that it takes so much to play on a Mac.

For those of you having the "unidentified developer" window pop-up on Mac. You can override the safety precaution by right-clicking the ".app" file. The same window will appear however, now you'll have the option to open it as well.

Hi! I've tried this a few times and it tells me that there is no such file. Can you please help me resolve this? I have been playing off of another website but that only allows me two days in the game then I am shut off so I never get very far. Hey, just checking up on game progress! I noticed that a lot of people seem concerned with the wait on the game development, and though I have read through and now understand, I think that it may be a good idea to send out an update, just telling us about game breaking bugs and otherwise, so all those more impatient may understand why the game is taking a little longer. I get it if the next version isn't soon, just let us all know, keep us updated, and I hope that everything gets revolved safely!

I might be misremembering things, which doesn't surprise me if I am - I have memory issues. But as long as things are still proceeding, I think everyone (except the overly impatient) will be glad to at least know that things are progressing, even if things are being held up by bugs. That you're waiting until you've patched out the bugs is a good sign - puts you a step above most publishers these days at least.

No need for a doctor/police or exorcist, but if you have a spare programmer or two, that would be nice =) We're still not done yet with the tasks and on top of that we're trying to resolve a game-breaking issue with the new animated scenes. We're doing all we can to release the beta within the month, however I don't believe we ever promised it would release the first week of the month. Can you please tell us when we did that?
