Thanks Rem, and Cross for the ask, your comment confirmed some of my suspicions. Taking Yukari’s personality with what’s happened so far, a main reason for her to shed tears would be in relation to Rin, perhaps she'd have gotten to a point where she's scared of losing sight of her friend. Add this to the fact of the darker coloring of her forehead, half closed eyes and redder cheeks leads me to believe that the sickness is only getting worse and is either following or preluding a big growth spike. Verdicts still out on where this image might have taken place because she's been shown to know when the effects of her illness kicks in. I think that the expression, worn by our ‘npc’ was on point. Not a sight you see every day, that's for sure! I can already imagine how this scene plays out. It's sad to see Yukari in such a torn-up state but I love the direction you've gone in having built this relationship between the two characters. Lovely work on these previews.
