"Encounter with Aka Manto" video is now available!

It is said that she will ask you to choose a color of paper (Blue, Yellow, or Red) and a different outcome will happen depending on what you chose but all will result in you going missing. The only thing that can save you from the encounter is to decline or reject her and not choose any paper, but unfortunately, this isn't the case for the guy in this story.
I had a bit of a burn-out from the MiSide series so I decided to temporarily pause animating it and focus on animating standalone videos since I also realized that I've been only animating the MiSide series for almost a year so I figure that it might be a good idea to work on other kind of videos for now and stared with another entry into the "Encounter" series (which I do every year between October and November).
I don't yet know when I'll resume working on the MiSide series but I promise that I'll come back to it sometime next year. Thank you for understanding!
As you can tell (if you already know the original legend), I made a bit of change to the setting where the scenario takes place in a park instead of the bathroom (which is what the original legend's location is) since the Aka Manto's legend is very similar to that of Hanako-san which I already did an animation a few years back. I also made some experiments where the story is narrated by a third person and also made the video not linear and has different outcomes based on what color of paper the guy chose.

Thank you for the comment once again~! I'm not really considering myself as a "game dev" since I only made 1 game and it's only for the purpose of continuing the MiSide's story but thanks for the compliment, I guess. 😓 And yeah, I tried my best to make Aka Manto's story as different as possible than Hanako's since both has technically the same type of urban legend and I'm glad that I could make both of them unique in their own way in the end. Since this is technically a "horror" story, it is given that there are no good endings like most horror media out there (I myself hate bad endings but I do welcome them from time-to-time). I also tried a different way of shrinking and it's mostly just for experimentation purposes but I'm glad that you liked it although I do agree that I missed out on making the shakes and sounds more intense/deeper while the guy is shrinking but like you said and have noticed already, since the camera is made to be in a fixed position or movement, I didn't really bother with the effects intensifying the sounds.shaking since it's mostly from the perspective of the viewer and not the tiny themselves (which do have a bit of perspective in some parts as was shown with the screen blinking effect) but still, I'll take note of that tip the next time I made a similar situation/scenario.

I think it was a good idea to go the split outcome route; that way, everyone gets their preferred ending. In this case specifically, it was a great decision! ദ്ദി ᗜ⩊ᗜ In a way, it's almost like a choice-based adventure—how fitting, coming right off the heels of a game dev ( •᷄ᴗ•́ ) 💀 💀 💀 🟥 🟦 🟨 ⬆ ⬆ ⬆ Unfortunately, however, there's no happy ending, at least not in the conventional sense of the word for those not minding how they meet said 'fate' 😜 Overall, I enjoyed the way this was decided, differentiating it from that of Hanako-san. Cheeking out (🌕ˠ🌕) 👈 this option—fitting color (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵) (Though I'd hazard ⚠️ a gas that there was another possible reason 🤔 💨👃 ∘ ∘ ∘ ( °ヮ° ) 😵💫) I quite liked the shrink effect used here, during the 'moon landing' (04:35-04:42). I think a slight critique might be to have increased the intensity of the sound from his perspective as he shrunk smaller and smaller during this scene, with perhaps the magnitude of the shakes also being toned up. Though, on the other hand, it might also be fine, given the fact that the camera position is fixed here, so it's more so mimicking the distance rather than the character itself too intently. Either way, I thought I might make mention of it as something potential. But with that, I think I'll take a page out of a certain event and buzz off 🚶 🚀👨🚀 One small step for man, one giant leap outta here! 🏃ᯓ (Though, to be fair, no great horror ever started by making the smart choice 😉; to do otherwise would've been rather boring 🥱)

I'm glad that you liked her! Unfortunately, I don't really have any plans for continuations from these kinds of videos (like with the other "Encounter" series) but we'll see if I could come up with something in the future but I can't promise anything.
