*I'm* actually wondering if she isn't a double agent for the defenders of nothing.....

Jackson Andrews

That’s kinda what i mean. the combination of future reading powers and humans losing the war means that people actively harming the war effort at the high levels could be eliminated. like think about it, if emily just look at all world leaders and thought of assassinating them would one solve the crisis?

TroubleFait

I wonder if they'd be ready to let Emily live outside the army, knowing her power. If they know she has a power, they want her enlisted. If they think it's a mediocre power they *might* let her be to secure "Lia's" more valuable cooperation. All the more so if they know Lia is able to flee, but won't so long as they let Emily be. If they think it's a good future sight power, they would probably not want to let her be. And if they know her *true* power... she's an asset no matter what she does. They don't need her enlisted to have her working for them. Convenient.

... Emily's lifespan was longest when she told the group not to play Monopoly with Julietta, but didn't push hard enough to stop it

Marquess

I’d say that depends a lot on how desperate those in power are. I can see a lot of our current world leaders not giving a fuck, but I’d imagine more determined folk aren’t above shooting them and assuring human survival themselves.

Manlor

She's probably a good person deep down, and wants to best for her wards.

after the ending of bioshifter, i’m really interested how thundamoos vision of the government handles a supernaturals apocalypse with a lot more forewarning. I’m honestly hoping that they are scary competent in at least most regards. morally bankrupt, sure. but we are supposed to believe that the government has been semi credibly resisting an alien invasion for years now. “even if the aliens are not the super-advanced faster than light travel kind.

Yes!

Thanks for the chapter! It would be interesting to hear how some of the other future powers work.

I think telling someone they're being watched makes it easier to threaten them into compliance, especially when the method is so broad and pervasive. Not to mention that the group has a way to identify standard surveilance, which will naturally lead to temptation as they're basically being told when the can or can't get away with things.

Anna

It was Emily who brought out the Monopoly board? Sorry folks, but I'm joining Emily's war against the apocalypse on the side of the apocalypse. Some sins are just too big to forgive.

sebsebs

Julietta was adorable at the beginning, when they were playing Monopoly Thanks for the chapter, still hyped for what comes next

Wow I am way more worried about these people than I was about the version of them in the previous timeline. At least Juliette won't have to put so much effort into pretending to be madly in love with Emily maybe? ...is it bad that I really wanna see Raptor-brain Lia? Also I might just be reading way too much into it, but I note that Commander keeps telling the kids very useful information that everybody else has been keeping quiet and which she was under no apparent obligation to share. It feels like she's genuinely trying to help, but without ever *quite* going outside the bounds of what military command considers acceptable for somebody of her level of usefulness.

Hmmmmmm. Fuck.

Future interactive powers interacting with other future interactive powers sure is convolulted. Presumably, Commander knew which of the recruits are flight risks and had them tracked, but Peter was told by Emily to not run today. I'd assume that means Commander was tracking him cause he was a flight risk, but because he was being tracked, Emily told him not to run, and he was thus not a flight risk and didn't need to be watched. Honestly, this paradox may even indicate that someone in their group has some type of foresight, and that only leaves Emily, who was already implied by Ana and Christine to have unnaturally good decision making.

Thunda chapters are best chapters ^-^

Kennyevilmonkey

I get Thundamoo notification, I drop everything I am doing and read. Thank you for the chapter, and I hope you enjoyed your break!

Saul Dickson

“Eat what I give you.” Anyone else see the Chekhov’s bazooka screaming that Christine’s eating habits might get her killed?

Glitter Rabbit (C)
