December Break Announcement
🕑 Added 2024-12-08 22:44:30 +0000 UTCHello everyone. I will be taking another oddly-timed break this month, starting today, because my partner's father has unexpectedly passed away. We will need to take a trip to assist with ordering his affairs. It's possible that this break may be longer than a week, but I don't anticipate it and will inform you if I need to do so. What Lucy said, sounds like you guys have a lot of mourning and affair-ordering work to do before you can actually take a break so while it may not be as jolly as one might hope, a winter holiday seems entirely in order for you both.

When my father passed away 2 years ago there was quite a lot to do (from the obit all the way to writing thank you cards to all the people who helped along the way); to say nothing of the emotional side, processing plus navigating with others. Internet hugs to you & your partner.

Seconding the "take your time." This doesn't exactly sound like a 'break', so taking an actual break week off once the initial stressors and Life Things to deal with have settled would be entirely reasonable.
