Shaper Origin Handheld CNC Machine
🕑 Added 2018-02-19 08:06:34 +0000 UTC Long awaited, but I finally got my Shaper Origin! Time to try it out with a quick little project I found on the Shapertools website. Oh yea - I'm in my new wood shop! Still some work to do on the space, but enjoy!

This new shop gives me a total fabrication capability, so yes...
Sounds like a shortage in the firmware. I expect if enough people ask for it, you'll see it. Perhaps not an absolute "off" - more like a sleep mode. But at least you aren't gnawing through watts while it just sits there.

Love that you have an Origin. Been following them from the start and so want to order one, but have to get a clean space like yours (mine is buried!). Also was hooked by Ben's video back when.
