From a heart you can walk through to real Moon rocks - The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia is a cathedral to science that is dedicated to the first great scientist of the new United States, Benjamin Franklin. I take you on a little tour to highlight some of my favorite parts. Enjoy!

As a kid in the 50's and 60's our family visited the Franklin Institute often. At the time we enjoyed the heart but I didn't fully understand what it was all about. I don't know if it's still there, but just inside the electricity room, that had an exciting lightning exhibit, was a Ham Radio exhibit that I enjoyed. The big pendulum is also interesting because it demonstrates the rotation of the Earth. Really a fun place to visit. For me today Fran is the FRAN in FRANklin Institute. Thank you Fran.
That's looks to be an awesome place Fran! Thanks for showing us around. :-)

Thanks for taking me back! So good to see several exhibits I remember from the '60's. Way overdue for a return visit.
Reminds me a lot of Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
