I know it's not really artificial intelligence, but it is uncanny that the day after I watched your booster fan bracket fabrication and installation, I started receiving ads for that very device. Apparently, Google picked that up via the video content, itself.

Fran, have you ever even CONSIDERED throwing anything away? This looks like what my wife runs into as an EMT here in town... hoarding. Some of what we don't realize isn't junk might be kept, but some of this stuff just begs to go.

It sounded more like active noise cancellation, designed to reject noise from the camera operator, though it probably works better in a less echoey room. I'm guessing there's an option somewhere in the settings to turn it off.

Thanks for the “in progress” tour! Seems like that camera is pretty good for audio in “selfie” mode, so my guess is it has *really* good front vs back audio discrimination and maybe when you’re behind the camera it’s only picking up audio reflections from the wall. Ewen

Coincidentally, my lab is being (half) ripped up today for new carpet tomorrow. Have to move everything to one side of the room, then back to the other side for the other half on Thursday. Better than moving it all out though.

Great to see this! Congrats on your progress! The camera mic is probably doing exactly what it's supposed to do: Suppress sound that doesn't come from straight in front of it. Let me guess, it has more than one mic?
