I doubled my $20+ pledge to Franlab, I love the content, projects, Frants and everything Franlab... I absolutely love the vintage electronic projects and when Fran discusses vintage computing... I really do wish that the DSKY project will be finished in its original form as the one made by another unnamed channel is not a real DSKY but more of a simulated toy.... And episodes like the Wanamaker Organ are definitely as i was glued to that whole series, I know it isnt always easy for Fran to think of but when she does she knocks it out of the park.

I also upped my pledge a few days ago. I’m in a position where I am in recovery from an serious work injury, and I only work 40% at the moment, slowly working my way back to normal. I spend a lot of time on YouTube when the days are rough and I’m stuck in bed. I feel that giving something back to my favorite tubers is important. There is a lot of hard work going on to give us content.

I've just upped my monthly payment now.

Happy to help. It is hard to be creative when you have the world on your shoulders. Now if you had to design a harness to carry the world and dived the weight between the number of your Patreons I wonder what it would look like ;)

It may be just me, but budgeting for Patreon pledges, I think you need a $2 pledge level... maybe provide two virtual hugs? I'd go for that.

My friend started a youtube channel recently and man you weren't kidding about their algorithms making no sense and demanding that you do insane things. One of her videos was doing good, had good (and *increasing*) engagement and "clickthrough" and all that crap, and they stopped promoting it exactly 48 hours after it was posted for... apparently no visible reason. What bullshit.

This is great news! Hopefully you can find a way to reach new supporters without having to rely on Youtubes shonky algorithms. Its frustrating as I saw Youtube as a way to get away from TVs appealing to the lowest common denominator only for it seek to go the same way.

That's wonderful news, Fran! I really appreciate all the neat things you work on--I always learn something new--and I'm excited!
