I love the finished product but you did go a little nuts with the fasteners. Hay it should certainly hold together! :)

Were you going to seal it? Urithane?

Fran, those strange screws are "Robertson Screws". A Canadian invention way back in 1908. Peter Robertson had had enough of the 'Phillips" screw and all the bad things that go along with them (we all know what a pain they can be when trying to unscrew them) and invented a much better screw head that is used around the world, except in the US. The reason they are not popular in the US goes back to Henry Ford. P.L. Robertson introduced them to Ford who thought they were great, and started to use them in the production of his cars, and found that production went up measurable by using this "square" head. But, when it came to paying royalties on the screw, Ford was not a happy camper and told Robertson what he could do with his superior screw, and went back to the inferior Phillips screw, and production went down. The price you pay for an igo and greed I guess. Love your projects.

I think I saw Adam Savage mention he uses old airline food carts in his workshop. Although unless you found an amazing deal, it'd probably still be way cheaper to make your own.
