I think it is the kind of tool that you honestly have to need to justify the expense. Filament and upgrades add up too.

I wish there was a reasonably priced combined 3D printer, CNC mill, & laser cutter. ÂĢ1000 is the going rate for such a device at the moment which is more than I wish to pay.
